I just picked up my Tepui Kukenam Ruggedized today.

They came in on Saturday just to help me avoid shipping costs by picking it up. I work M-F, 9-5, so normal business hours wasn't going to work.

They even pre-installed the ladder and mounting rails before i came, so all we had to do was throw it on and bolt it down. I've had excellent customer service the entire time from @Box Rocket both before and now after purchase.

Really happy with the tent so far. The materials used are all very nice, and this thing should stand up to whatever abuse i can throw at it. Can't wait to set it up tomorrow out in the light and get some good pictures.

I think both companies are very comparable, but it came down to Tepui offering the ruggedized option, in a color that worked really well for me. Sounds like both have great customer service.

Love my Bachelor. About to start camping season #4 with it and I couldn't be happier. Tent has held up well and my only compliants have nothing to do with CVT really.... can't fit in my 7' garage and need a step ladder to stow it away...
Bobby has always been awesome to deal with, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

So is it $895 or $995? Looking at your website it still shows the $995
Will the price change still take into the account the group buy when it goes through?

It is $995. CVT didn't change the "add to cart" price to reflect $995 until recently.

One thing that's different between the two companies is their ladders. CVT's looks like it has nice round steps which would be barefoot friendly.

Tepui's rungs are more square, but with generous rounded edges. Tepui's ladder is more of a telescoping design vs. a fireman style extending ladder from CVT.

Another small thing, the CVT Mt Bachelor is 15.5" closed vs 12" with the Tepui Kukenam. This trend seems to extend to the other tents as well. Maybe Tepui doesn't include the ladder height, I can measure mine tomorrow. The height may not seem like a big deal, but it was of the deciding factors for me, as I needed to keep the tent below cab height, and wanted to maximize usable bed space underneath.

Both offer telescoping ladders. I think both are rounded too.

Ah, must be new. I've always seen the sliding ladder on the CVT tents.

The sliding ladder comes stock on the CVTs, but they offer a telescoping one. That reminds me that I need to purchase one haha.

When we do a measurement we include the bottom mounting rails on the tent (1" rails) the tent (12") to the top of the ladders knob (2.5").Total 15.5". Yes our tent is also 12" but when you try to measure to fit in a garage and you have 13" to spare and your tent company told you 12" you will be surprised to find that the entire tent (from rails, tent and ladder) installed on your vehicle does not fit.
