I'm not seeing anywhere close to $2400 in parts honestly

Piston conversion should be around $300 new so maybe worth $200 now if in good shape
DD sights were around $115 but maybe $50 on used market
Geissele trigger probably around $300 if it's the match trigger
If it's the ALG trigger...those run less than $100 right?

magpul upgrades to furniture don't really raise the value in the used market, nor does any cerakote etc

I'd be surprised if you could pull $1000 on the used market for that gun

I'm far less likely to purchase a gun that's been cerakoted/painted and had lots of "upgrades" done...I'd rather pay near new price for a gently used unmolested rifle

I buy my stuff online. price wise, it's hard to beat deals like what these guys have:
    http://www.cdnnsports.com/

Here in Arizona, there's an FFL on every corner seems like, and they charge next to nothing to receive your firearm shipments and do the background check and paperwork on you.

my latest purchase was a Taurus Judge Magnum for $389+shipping ($404) and it cost $15 for the transfer fee.

no sir, although I may have to because I am not really happy with this one. It is the YHM KR7. QC10 has one coming out, it's hard to get a 4.5" or smaller handguard that is big enough to house a can. I needed 1.4" inner diameter minimum

I don't want to offend you, but the reality is, that's a max $750 used AR. It'll take a little luck to get that. I buy, sell and trade a lot. Even here in South Dakota I wouldn't value it that high. That doesn't mean it isn't a nice rifle, it is nice. But I don't believe it will bring more than $750 on resale. If you have that much into, keep it and shoot it.

Yeah that is about $800 here. The piston might ding that even a little, piston conversions are generally frowned upon in my experience. If you are looking to get big bucks out of it wait until the next scare to sell.

I didn't value it at 2400 for trade I valued it at about a grand. It also came with 300 rounds of ammo and a nice hard case. I just wanted to get rid of the bike. I also got a 380 auto Walther ppk with it and a couple hundred rounds of ammo. I got the 2400 value by looking up the price of all the parts put into it in brownells catalog and added it up. Thanks for the input everyone.

I got offered 500 for a bcm rifle without sights this weekend, needless to say I told him to pound sand.
Market is getting saturated however I still see 1200 psa rifles.
