Lol...I will. But like I said before I know of a couple guys that have done it and been fine and not needed uca's. That's one of the main reasons why I wanna do it. Also, I did my research beforehand concluding that I wouldn't need em.

Not trying to hijack this thread but I do have a relevant question. I currently have a 2013 4 cly./5-speed 4X4 regular cab and I am seriously considering the TRD Pro suspension kit as I still have coverage on the truck through a factory extended warranty. I priced a Bilstein 6112/5160 remote resi setup through Toytec and it wasn't much less expensive than the cheapest price I have found on the TRD Pro kit. I have also read that Bilstein will not warranty a shock just for leaking a bit of oil and that the warranty on the 6112 may be as little as 90 days. From what I have read in other posts here on TW the TRD Pro setup and the Bilstein seem to be very similar to each other. My question is can I expect more than 1.75" of lift in the front since it is a regular cab? I ask this because while I have been researching various lift kits I have noticed that most of them suggest that a regular cab 4 cyl. will be lifted higher than V6/4 door trucks. I am shooting for ~1.75"-2" lift in the front so that it will hopefully level out to the rear. If necessary I am considering a 1.5" progressive AAL from either Toytec or ICON. Other details of my planned setup: LT275/70R17 BFG KO2 tires mounted on Toyota OEM 2014 4Runner 17"X7.5" Trail Edition wheels (15mm offset). I have no added weight to any part of the truck but I am considering a snug-top camper shell or something similar if that affects anyone's sugestions. I have previously run P265/70R17 Bridgestone REVO 2 tires with the factory suspension on 2012 FJ Cruiser 17"X7.5" Trail Edition wheels (15mm offset) and no rubbing with the mud flaps removed. I tried searching for regular cabs equipped with TRD Pro suspension but I couldn't find anything really useful; maybe I'm missing something in the search function and if so please inform me.

The bilstien 6112/5160 is the Trd Pro/baja setup minus the decals and color. Check eBay for the trd pro kit. A few posts up I posted I saw it for $1500 I believe.

I'd assume if you put it on your truck it would leave you a bit higher than 1.75" just due to the weight difference in that your truck is lighter......how much different will it leave your truck? That I do not know. If it were me, I'd buy the PRO/BAJA kit and put it on....I'm sure itl be fine.

On my rear I have an icon progressive aal and I love it. Rides nice, gives my truck a good stance, and I don't haul or tow anything....hope this helps.

    Hello all,

So I am pretty much set on the TRD Pro set up (coil overs/shocks, no seat spacers). I was considering the ICON Progressive AALs, but now I am just thinking of just spending a little more for a full set of leaf springs.

Does anyone have the TRD Pro setup and a full set Dakar or other full leafs setups? Does anyone know what set I would need to keep the factory rake and complement the lift given by the TRD Pro setup? I am also looking on some experience with the ride of the truck, knowing that I am not towing or carrying any weight?

    Thanks in advance,
    Nick

The Dakars will lift you 2.75" unless you pull out a leaf....or in your case maybe 2 because you are only going up 1.75" in front.
You will need to buy 1 set of bushings for the springs. When I had a set on my previous truck they only had bushings on one side each leaving the opposite end without any bushings.....this apparently is how they come. I got factory bushings from Toyota.

Thanks, ICON AAL it is... do you ever have to re-tighten the centering bolts on the springs?

Nope. Me and a buddy did it using his pneumatic impact. You'll be very happy with the icon progressive aal. I was pleasantly surprised to see how beefy it was when I pulled it out of the box. Also, when I installed mine I removed the overload leaf from the bottom of the factory leaf pack.

It's been said here the baja pro is a bit stiffer than the trd pro, 650#/600#. From what i've read in this thread and being i'm mostly street it seems the baja might be slightly better for me but i'm curious how much of a ride difference there is between the two? Best would be to compare it to a stock sport suspension which is where i'm at right now. I was at the trd pro but i don't do too much off roading and not sure i want the nose dive that's been mentioned here that comes with the trd pro, but i also don't have a clue how much nose dive it is??........and can you get the "extra" 1" top spacers with the baja? and something to fix the taco lean?...... Thanks for the responses!.....(getting close to pulling the trigger on on one of these lifts and i just want to get whats gonna do me best)

1....I highly doubt that the nose dive that the pro suspension is at all noticeable.....it's just a tad softer than the Baja kit.

2....no Taco plate spacer needed for the lean. Your putting on Toyota Trd tuned coilovers that don't produce the infamous tacolean.

3....the Baja and pro kits are virtually identical. The spacer specifically for this lift is made for both kits.

Thank-you Juan!..... i'm asking about the nose dive because of post #8 in this thread....Looking at it again though, i guess the nose dive would be better than i have now since the stock coil spring rate is 550# compared to the pro at 600#.....Which leads me to one more question, sorry, if you want to put a winch on would the springs be able to handle it (baja or pro), or would you have to replace the springs to account for the extra weight? (That would determine if i should get the winch at the same time as the lift)

Don't be sorry for asking questions.....that's what this site is for, and that's how I learned . If your putting on one of those winches that are made to fit in the factory bumper I am positive you'll be just fine. Both suspensions are much beefier than you think.

If you were adding the weight of a steel plate bumper and a winch than I'd then consider beefier springs but still even then then it would be able to handle it. Hope this helps.

Alright fellas, let me know if this setup will work and keep me level.

Hopefully my measurements are accurate, correct me if I'm wrong. Also any advice and input is welcomed.

    + Front: 2.25 inch lift?
    - TRD PRO front coilovers
    - Headstrong 1/4 inch top spacers

    + Rear: 1.5 inch lift?
    - Bilstein 5160 shocks
    - Icon AAL
    - Keep overload

That sounds about right. Maybe 2" on the front. 2" on the back. You"ll still have the factory rake. With the helper on the rear you'll get an extra 1/2" or so. I have the TRD Pro with an ICON AAL with the helper removed and it's pretty good. Also, I pull a horse trailer and it's level. The rear suspension is perfect for the loads I carry. Also, the higher you get on the rear, the more pinion angles can be affected, causing vibration issues. I took the shims out when I installed the AAL.

Ya I mean you're suspension will settle a little bit over time, especially if you haul, you might want to consider the factory rake for that, sitting level is all fun and games until you put some boards back there and your rear end drops an inch
