I was thinking to go MT and see how I like it. Then I can go DB later if I want and spend even more money.

For about 5,000 miles of completely annoying tire noise and / or until they turn into 33" slicks...

I have them on my truck and yes they are a louder tire but wouldn't call them an annoying loud. Now the duratracs I had were an annoying loud. My buddy has 45000 miles on his mud graps. If you rotate and balance them correctly they don't wear that bad.

Your DuraTracs were loud? I have them on my ride and barely notice them at all :notsure:
^ I've been back and forth on this also. Looks like a custom pack is really the only way to go. But what company...

All the talks about alcan but when I google the first one I see is Deaver (much cheaper) and the skyjacker soft rides. And they don't appear to be custom.

When my duratracs started to wear they were loud as shit too. Couldn't seem to keep them balanced either. That was probably a contributing factor though.

I ran a custom Deaver pack on my DB taco and the new one. (Same pack just re-arched)

When my duratracs got bald it was almost like a slapping the pavement noise which was annoying to me.

I've seen the Devers pack but I have not found a Skyjacker pack to fit our Tacos. Do you have a link?
This is interesting. Mine a still quite new. Only about 11000 miles on them. I guess I will see what happens in the future.

Here is a teaser. I have the BDS 6" and hate the clearance under the diff so I want to swap the front crossmember for the fab tech or whoever has the best clearance between the tires. So much hate for this clearance that I want to get a long travel. I have er all priced out but I wouldn't mind the DB so much if this issue could be fixed. Think it's easy as a direct swap out? If not I'm going long travel and never turning back. @AaronArf do you miss the 3 inches you lost ever? Or is it night and day all love for the long travel? Also can you snap me a pic of your cab mount cause I rub like a church girl on a Friday night. I also did the BFH therapy to the firewall and corners of the fender and flare. Thanks anyone who has input!

I thought the BDS was the best option for clearance?
