I have these on my Tacoma I like them haven't had no problem with them other than I broke one somehow but they ride great
They sag a bit due to the weight of my bumper and ifs skid. But everyone tells me not to go 886 that it will ride rough as he'll the little bit of rake doesn't bother me so I just leave it alone. May end up swapping out eventually for the new boss coil overs that Toytec has now

I installed a 80lb front bumper on my runner couple years after my lift was installed and i noticed no sag. I thought for sure i was gonna have to install heavier front springs but no sag and it still rides nice. I want to install a rear bumper with a swing out tire carrier so heavier rear springs will be needed for that i'm sure.

I read on T4R that the oem front bumper and bumper support bar on these 3rd gen runners is 50lbs. So i'm only 30lbs heavier than stock.

I have billies with 887s and haven't needed ucas. Got my caster to 1.8/1.9 and camber and toe are pretty close to 0. Yes it could be better but I'm waiting for new tires to throw on and then I'll add ucas

Any chance I could join one day? I'll need to swap out my front springs soon. I can pay for lift time with beer.

Thanks Dave. I wish I could take you up on that offer, but I already have commitments this Saturday that I can't get out of. Hopefully I can catch up with you on another Saturday. Thanks again.

What are the recommended spec's with a lift? I remember seeing a thread somewhere about it, but can't find it now.

0 chamber and toe and as much caster as you can get?

pretty much. it's not possible to get too much caster with stock geometry suspension. however, what you don't want to do is increase the caster via upper control arms. increasing caster with the lower control arms, gives you more clearance from the body mount and inner fender. doing it with the upper arms (adjusting the light racing arms) hurts that clearance.

Makes sense. Adjusting with the LCA pushes the tire forward, away from the body mount everyone is rubbing. UCA adjusts backward for more caster bringing it closer to the body mount/wheel well. How do new upper control arms fix this issue? Seems like you could fix any chamber issue but getting the caster right would just cause you to lose clearance unless you change LCA's.

I think 2+ or 2.5+ is recommended for lifted trucks. I don't have mud flaps on and havent rubbed at full lock or daily driving yet with 285/70/17s

Yea and 265/75r16 is suppose to be the largest you can go with no rubbing on stock... My duratreks prove that is a lie lol. I have my mud flaps off and 4.5" bs and still rub in turns... Not even full lock just if the nose dives a little bit.

When I was running 2.5" of lift, I thought I could get away without uppers. I was wrong. The caster was ok, but I couldn't get my camber right. Tires sat like this \ /

I got the light racing arms so I could slide the balljoint inward up top. People always say shoot for 3* caster, but honestly, if my camber and toe are 0* I'll run anything over 1* caster, as long as it's close side to side.

Yea. I might use get the UCA's. I don't feel like installing everything just to find out I need them. Plan was to get them at some point anyway.

Are those the SPC Light Racing UCA's? Do you recommend them?
