A few months ago i began to notice moisture collecting inside of my fog light on the passenger side. i removed it, and dumped the water out and reinstalled it. every time i washed my truck, it would have quite a bit of water in it. i went to the dealer last week and got a brand new one. The new one is currently collecting moisture inside of it just like the old one did. :annoyed:

Has anyone else experienced this and if so how did yall go about correcting this issue?

are the bulbs stock? This happened to me only after I replaced the factory bulbs with LEDs. If they are stock I would just have the dealer replace it again

Read the title and thought it was pretty funny. Maybe you were tired when you posted. Should it read "I got a little moisture in my fog light"?

    They're sealed pretty well.

I have to assume that it isn't the housing that is the issue now that's it happened twice on separate housings.

Check the bulb is seated correctly and all of that stuff.

im running aftermarket bulbs in them. the driver side never leaked and im using the gasket that came with the aftermarket bulbs on the driver side (the side thats not leaking)

nope haha thats like sinking your truck in the mud and someone says "hey you went hit the mud last night?" and then you reply by saying "yeah, i got a little tires in my mud"

with the first housing, i was using the gasket that came with the aftermarket bulb. when i got the new housing, (which also came with a new bulb), i used the gasket from the new one when i installed my aftermarket light in the new housing which is currently leaking. i pulled the new housing yesterday and dumped the water dropplets out through the blue "plug" on the back of the assembly and reinstalled it. it already has moisture built up inside of it. :help:

Mines been completely submerged and the bulb apparently really likes the water and refuses to separate with it.

Replace gasket on bulb- you also must make sure you get moisture out 100% before installing new gasket. I got MacGyver cut about 1-2 feet of garden hose. Removed bulbs- stuck hose in place and than had blow dryer on other end for 1-5 min. Moisture was gone-than through in some silica packs (taped to wire and left ) left the packs in housing for about 1-2 hours to ensure no more moisture. Even if you cant see it- its there (this more noticeable in headlight) . Installed bulbs with new gasket- no issues.

No problem bro- I had exact same issue and some members shared info with the silica packs- works great! I think you should be find with just running some hot air in the fogs without adding silica packets since the housing pretty small. Actual headlight itself is when i needed to use silica packets to get moisture out 100%. Keep us posted on progress

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
My passenger fog gets moisture too. Noticed it glared toward outside a bit and found one of 3 tabs on bulb is very difficult to seat fully. It'll turn and feel locked in when it really isn't. Had to press in really hard against seal while turning.
I'm not dealing with blower or desicant to get vapor out myself. Dealer can fix/replace as long as I'm in warranty.

If you installed a new one then we can rule out the seal being bad. It's more then likely the seal on the bulb. I had the same thing happen to me. I purchased new bulbs and it fixed the issue. But......Instead of just dumping the water out and reinstalling you need to make sure you get it all out. Leave the bulb out of it and lay it on the ground. Plug in a hair dryer and point it toward the hole where the bulb goes. Don't put it too close though or you'll melt plastic. This will dry out all the water in the casing so you won't have any moisture in there at all.
