Morning all....I'm new to the Tacoma World, having recently traded in a 4Runner for a 2015 Tacoma DCSB 4x4 Sport.

The bulk of my 4 wheeling is limited to winter snow excursions in Lake Tahoe and towing and fairly light tunnel outboard.
Slippery launch ramps...Otherwise, normal on road.

I've got my eyes on the Toyota TRD Pro rim and would like to lift the truck maybe 1" in the read and level the front.
The Bilstein 5100's seem like a good way to go in the front..no idea how to approach the rear....

I'm would like to retain the current ride quality if at all possible.

Any advice would be appreciated....many thanks!

The options are endless.. And your budget will play a big factor in what can be recommended. I can say I just installed the 3" ome full kit with Dakar leaf pack and I really like the ride quality. It's firm in a good way, the front end doesn't drop to the floor when you tap the brakes. There are also plenty of people that have other lifts and love them as well. Just search and read until your eyes hurt.

No truer words here!!! It took me a week to decide on a bed cover purchase. (finally went with an Entang Solid Cover 2.0)

All your comments are appreciated and I'll check each out....

I agree, there are several options to accomplish a 1-2" lift at a reasonable price. I shopped and researched for a month then went with ome

I've had a 5100 lift and an OME lift. I'd recommend going with OME. Figure out how much lift you want up front and get the appropriate coil springs. If I remember correctly, for DCSB 4x4: 883s are 1", 884s are 2", and 885s are 2.5". I recommend going with OME shocks in the rear as well.

When getting it aligned, ask them to get as much caster as possible while keeping camber as close to 0 as possible. Keep in mind, the more lift you have in the front, the less caster your truck will have without going with aftermarket UCAs.

This should provide you with a good quality ride at a reasonable price.

He's not being an ass, that's a pretty normal response... You've got to do some reading and narrow down your wants and needs. Believe it or not you even have valuable information in this thread. Before asking such a vague question maybe tell us your budget and tire size? At the end of the day your only going to buy what you can afford. I'd say any lift is adequate for 18" wheels and light off-roading, so that information gives us nothing to help you with. Like I said before in this thread, ome full kit with UCAs for $1600, great lift for a great price. Don't hate the players hate the game. Good luck, we are here to help but can't just tell you what to buy.

Yes, You'll be fine with a basic lift, OME or 5100s. No need to spend tons of money.
