I'm glad to see a lot of real jobs going on around here.

Too many folks currently just vote for a living.

I am a minority owner of a small cabinet and woodworking shop. We do custom kitchens and custom woodworking. My business partner is a home builder and builds about 30 or so custom homes a year so we're busy.

Last custom kitchen I finished for another builder.

Work with local law enforcement agency.
Run a business that does security consulting, running command centers and sometimes as a network engineer for large music festivals nationwide for fun.

production 'engineer' at a small startup manufacturing tribology (think material sciences; lubrication) testing equipment. most of the time im building components for the equipment, sometimes i get sent out to do installations at various universities around the world, but i'd say the greater part of my day is spent putting up with management's (or lack there-of) bullshit.
