Hey guys. I ordered my FR rack a while back but am deciding on accessories. I'm getting the RTT mount and Awning Mount along with the bottle opener (duh).

I'm deciding if I should get the hi lift mount. I've been trying to decide on a hi lift location. I only take it with me if I'm wheeling so it wouldn't just sit outside the truck. What do you think?

Do all the 4runner gens have a low gas tank? I feel like that is the first thing I need a skid for. It is pretty much the lowest hanging part of my car.

Exhaust is something I never would do to my rig. However, this one already had it done and I love it! I was stupid haha

At least the 4Runner isn't this bad. Right under the bumper with no skid plate. c5f2c1e0d5c363fa576665ed36480bc2_e814f9b2bcc1e893e765eba4ff6d3580d7802f3a.jpg

I can't speak for every gen but the 2nd does. Its annoyingly low. Personally I have no need for armor but that is one thing I do want to armor up

Same here. I normally get armor so I can be a super poser but that is one thing I actually worry about.

It's weird to me since they market the 4runner as an off road SUV. You would think they would add a bit of clearance.

Well I was going to match the front and rear bumper but blew the transmission before that point. I can honestly say that thing tackled everything I threw at her. Minus the Chrysler drivetrain it was a great rig. Flex for days.

Yeah. Only "armor" I have is the stock skid plate.

Same here. I've never added armor to any of my off-road vehicles. I will eventually add some to this one. I don't think my Grand Cherokee had any skid plates lol

Weird to me. I don't think it would have been difficult for them to do

Sliders and skids are all I plan on for a while. I think if you have those two covered, You are pretty set for most challenges.

That's true. Sliders are going on mine here whenever they are done. Skids might have to wait, bumper and winch first. After that skid plates.
