Finished my latest (far left) nothing special just a 5.56 with Vortex red dot and laser sight mounted on a 45° offset. Next build either a 458 Socom or a Beowulf to go with my Grendel :)

http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/ are gonna have the best prices. However BCM is out of stock of all lower parts kits for up to the next 90 days; and all retailers that carry BCM lpk are out as well.

PSA Special haha. Built the lower, bought complete upper. 1:7 twist. Bushnell AR Optics 1-4 FFP in a PEPR mount. Pretty happy with it for all mil spec parts. 100 yd groups for reference.

Inhave a similar rifle. It's a PSA premium complete mid length upper on an Anderson stripped lower with a Gisselle SSA-E . The optic is a PA 1x6 on an ADM QD mount.I bought all the Foliage Green when it was on sale because it was being discontinued.

    So this is odd

My 8 year old BCM rifle...I had it apart this weekend to change some things out...and realized the forward assist is broken...No idea when or how...is this common? The little arm that engages the bolt is missing completely...I'm guessing I just need to swap out the entire assembly? Anything tricky to it? drive roll pin out, remove assembly, replace with new assembly, drive roll pin in?

Only ever heard of this happening, was caused be the spring failing and the forward assist getting screwed up by bolt. New assemblies are like 20$ but check bolt for damage!

no damage on the bolt, but seems like that would potentially jam the rifle up pretty good when it occurs...and I've yet to have any sort of such issues there either...something failed though, and the little arm is MIA

Yes, that's how you do it, but if you don't have a vice block, maybe not so much. I'm sure someone could suggest a way around that. I'd suggest contacting BCM first though, their customer service is said to be awesome. I wouldn't be surprised if they took care of it for you. Was it a complete rifle or upper as built by bcm, or did you assemble it yourself?

Not really even needed. I'm sure you've popped out a roll pin out of a glock or 1911 before. Same concept. You have to depress the new assembly when installing it. In my last build I used a Delrin plug instead of a forward assist assembly because I've literally never used a forward assist to jam a round home. They're usually problem multipliers, not problem solvers.
