I could find no actual dimension on any of the drop kits. Fabtech has a slight arch to their crossmember, but it is only going to help directly in the middle of it, and not by much.

Maybe some owners of the different DB kits could take a few measurements? Like old LCA mount to new LCA mount distance, and distance from lowest point of factory front crossmember to lowest point of DB crossmember. That would be good info to have.

I know the RC kit is similar to the RCD kit in that the crossmember only drops about 4 inches, then you get the additional 2 inches from the shocks. So at 6 inches the axles are quite angled, enough to wear your inner CV boots if you don't do the boot stretch trick. That said the RC has a lot more ground clearance but somewhat exposing the front diff in the process,it does come with skid plates though. The PC kit actually drops the diff 6 inches, and CVs are flat at 6 inches of lift witch I guess allows for more lift and still have decent axle angles.

I don't think that information is accurate. My axles don't look quite angled to me.

I do not miss the drop bracket, at all. Truck feels much better off camber, rides better and performs better in all aspects...even at the mall because my turning radius is better than the Fabtech DB kit LOL. If not LT a solid MT set up would be light years better, IMO.

All of the drop brackets are going to have about the same clearance, you really don't gain much with the center arch cut out of the Fabtech if anything at all. Definitely not worth switching! AND any clearance gained would be lost if you decided to fab a skid plate boxed off the front x member.

My cab mount was re-chopped during the LT install, not much left.

But what lift amount is that? RC sells 4"(flat axles) and 6"(angled axles). I'm not real sure about the RCD. But I know the crossmember only drops 4" inches on the RC kit. The PC and fabtech drop 6". Measure from bolt to bolt on the crossmember.

    It's a 5" lift.

Well like I said I'm not exactly sure about the RCD lift and they don't sell a 6" lift. I'm just trying to help with information from my experience.

My Pro Comp DB is 4.5" bolt to bolt drop. I'm at 10.75" of clearance at the DB (lowest point).

Me too, until I had it on. Buddy has the fab tech on an FJ and it is way more clearance. I see trucks drive by and feel ashamed to have less clearance than a stock f150. And I have 35s...

A pic of under. The arm angles would be good without that fuc*ing skid. But that protects the diff. See how I hit it from the rust. Maybe you will share some pain with me. Bad pictures but whatever it's something

Well my point is that there are crossmembers that have more clearance. These kits are not the same. And it depends on how much lift you have.

My question is,why is the BDS so much better? I was debating either the PC or the BDS and I got the PC because of ease of purchase at 4WP. If I knew how crappy the PC coilovers were,I would have gotten the BDS with the Fox,s. But what makes the BDS so much better?

That's what I'm saying, I would like to hang the diff higher and get a different crossmember. And depending on price I might swap over to the LT
