I had a lengthy conversation with ultra gauge today. They basically said for 2016 I was shit out of luck until I found the new codes. They swore up and down that the codes were on this forum that I need for the 2016 Tacoma. I don't think so. I did however find on the 2016 tundra forum that someone used 2015 tundra codes for a 2016, however, it was unclear if that was successful.

I don't know the process of determining correct codes. But I'm not holding my breath.

I just installed my Ultra Gauge MX 1.3 that I bought a few days ago. I edited Mgauge 5 for the Trans Temp to these settings:

Codes for 2012-2015 Trans temps *F:
    TDATA: 07E02182
    MTCH: 6182
    RPOS: 2808
    RCTRL:21
    TCTRL:92
    X: 0009
    /: 0005
    +: FFD8
    Output format: 10
    Left/Right is 31

I drove to work today which is about 40 miles all highway driving, temp outside was 38 degrees F and raining. The gauge said my engine temp was at 186 degrees F which I believe is correct, but trans temp was right around 254-275 F? That seems really high.

    I have a 2015 TRD Pro

Ok, Thx, will change the X:0009 /:0005 to read X:0001 /:0001. But as far as the Output format, I keep it at 10 for F, 00 is for C? Correct

I'm reading degrees F with coding that was shown there. I just read the instructions and entered what they said and it worked fine. not sure where everyone else is getting the settings that are wrong? I'm guessing from here?

Seems like others are using the parameters I used for the trans temp and seems to be working. Mine seems to be ready really high. So of the 2 parameters mentioned: (which one is correct)?

TDATA: 07E02182(and a bunch of zeros)
    MTCH:6182
    RPOS: 2808
    RCTRL:21
    TCTRL:92
    X:0001 /:0001 +:FFD8
    Output Format:00
    Left/Right is 31

    and

Will try the other parameter on my home, but trans temp was right around 254-275 F coming to work today.

if you are reading tt1 and tt2 they will vary in temp just about all
the time unless you are sitting parked and idling....they should vary about [5-8] all the time
to [30 deg] on startup between the two

source: my 2013 and scan gauge monitoring tt1 and tt2, dead accurate,
    2 second sample rate

If it was running that hot, I would have thought the engine it self would be effected since there bolted together, but engine ran right at 183-186 the whole drive in

So I changed the parameters from:

TDATA: 07E02182(and a bunch of zeros)
    MTCH:6182
    RPOS: 2808
    RCTRL:21
    TCTRL:92
    X:0009 /:0005. +:FFD8
    Output Format: 10
    Left/Right is 31

    To this:

TDATA: 07E02182(and a bunch of zeros)
    MTCH:6182
    RPOS: 2808
    RCTRL:21
    TCTRL:92
    X:0001 /:0001 +:FFD8
    Output Format: 10
    Left/Right is 31

And now the Trans temp runs between 114 - 138, but sits at about 122 driving down the highway at 65 MPH. Now it seem a bit low
