Anyone on here ever design and build a fuel vaporizing system for their Toyota?

    It's really got me intrigued

LOL at these old snake oil fuel consumption reduction systems. This is completely bogus!

I'll tell you something about fuel vaporization; when the "atomized" fuel is drawn into the HOT combustion chamber, it vaporizes. You don't need to vaporize it before it goes in, because it vaporizes WHEN it goes in.

There is also a major problem to vaporizing it in advance, which is that it will cause the volume of what is being drawn in to be increased. This means that an overall much lower MASS of fuel and air will be drawn into the cylinder. That means that in addition to obtaining NO improvement in fuel economy, you will also make a whole heck of a lot less POWER.

I agree that it would cause the engine to make a lot less power but it does seem like it might just possibly work... Not saying I would try on my Tacoma but I have a Honda crx I might consider giving it a try on

He is basically describing a crude one of these: carb_zpsamy1oh7h_d0a7d8182d93c98e12ecd7a24c66d28131868c3a.png

A carburetor basically consists of an open pipe through which the air passes into the inlet manifold of the engine. The pipe is in the form of a Venturi: it narrows in section and then widens again, causing the airflow to increase in speed in the narrowest part. Below the Venturi is a butterfly valve called the throttle valve — a rotating disc that can be turned end-on to the airflow, so as to hardly restrict the flow at all, or can be rotated so that it (almost) completely blocks the flow of air. This valve controls the flow of air through the carburetor throat and thus the quantity of air/fuel mixture the system will deliver, thereby regulating engine power and speed.

Here's a nice bridge I can make you a deal on.
The original bridge was destroyed a number of years ago. That's my Dad's car in the photo.

Idk this design seems flawed I think it could be improved with some plastic hoses and custom plastic res

If I'm gonna go green, I'm gonna go all the way. Or, get a Tesla for mileage and put a blower on my '40 for killing baby seals.
