Get another one. Could do a 3.4 swap if you dislike the 3.0 so much. It'll be great again!
Well there's the dilemma haha. I don't mind mine stock but that's because it kicks ass stock

I guess I could see that, the 92-95 4runners did look a lot less aggressive than the 90-91s. Became a lot more comfort based.
Damn. Well feel free to sprinkle some of that on mine when you're done lol

@1truckdriver I don't know if you were interested in seeing how I mounted my CB in the ashtray section. You "liked" the post, so just wanted you to see it as well.

Here is the install that I did in place of my ashtray. The COBRA 19 Ultra III fits perfectly from side-side and top-bottom to where the ashtray used to be. The only thing I had to do was "cut" some of the plastic at the back end of the black center Toyota bezel plate of the "ashtray section" that you won't see in the picture. Then, I simply mounted some screws to some homemade brackets on the back part of the radio to the bezel plate to keep the back part of the radio from moving up-down (i.e. securing the radio in place). Anyways, those Uniden's should fit just fine in that spot as well? I know that my co-worker bought the Uninden 505XL and it is, from what I remember, the same, if not, exact dimensions of my COBRA unit. So I know it will fit for sure.

@MuricaTaco you said, "... radio for days...", well, here are some pictures that I took just before nodding off. Sorry for the blurry pics. Anyways, my work involves me with radio work among the many other F'N hats given to me that wasn't really a part of my original job description and have no vested interest in doing some of the work handed to me... like building install type work. I'm NOT an installer, but yet they put me in positions at times, when at a job site, to where I might have to do wiring and what not. I'm NOT the type of person to complain about, "not part of my job description", but in this case, it really does apply to me because, technically, it is a completely different type of profession and it is not what I went to school for??? So there is work searching to be done so I can eventually quit where I am now... we'll talk about it some more I'm sure, just know that I really do work with radio's quite a bit... enough to definitely be dangerous. I even work with the higher end Motorola fire/police type radios (i.e. the MCS2000, CDM, XTL/APX, Astro Spectra, Astro/Consolette, etc etc etc). Whether pinning out to use the back end of the accessory port of the radio or programming the CDM... LOL!!! This programming radios aspect part of my job, I do NOT mind too much. It is the "installer" aspect that is, at times, beyond my comprehension (i.e. pulling cables through the walls, where to mount equipment on the walls, etc etc etc). It sounds easy, but it really is a totally different profession that takes skill and experience to know how to approach an install!!! People who are installers or have some experience of installing wires/equipment in a building would know what I am talking about. I went to school for electronics (i.e. circuit boards, etc), so the installer is WAAAAAAY out of my element!!! Again, I'm pretty sure we will eventually talk about this stuff.

The 3x mobiles in the one picture are REALLY OLD 800MHz Vertex Standard trunked commercial band radios. I also aquired some more radios and they're sitting in my storage unit.

Again, for people that use HT's and/or mobiles that are HAM, BE FORWARNED ABOUT TX'ing without a license unless you want to pay thousands in fines if ever caught!!! ANNNND jail time!!! I personally wouldn't risk it, but that is just me and it doesn't matter for me because I have a HAM license. Just not willing to go "off band" or TX'ing illegally as well. I can't afford to lose my license for many various reasons!!! But anyways...

BTW, even the commercial radios I have I don't use, I mainly have them to learn with and/or program them for "scanner" operation. I haven't mucked with them for quite some time though. Anyways, I don't TX on them because commercial bands are tightly monitored as well. Just a FYI!!!
