Give me your suspension damping coefficient, spring rate and input frequencies of interest and I'll have a Bode plot for you in no time....

The best part about an SAS is most of it would be custom, so you can source the parts from where you want! There are Canadian distributors for many many individual parts, but not so much an entire kit. Realistically, the only thing you might need to find in the states (depending on what kind of axles you're going with.. but there are Canadian options for aftermarket housings) might be a steering box if you wanted to go with a brand new one. I haven't priced things up for the swap or anything like that.. but control arms, mounting points, shock/strut set up could all be sourced local I'm sure. There would be lots of figuring involved and I would probably do a mockup with 1inch square tube before I got any sort of custom arms made up.

The more I talk about it.. The more my mouth waters...

We had an SAS FJ show up at our spring run in PA last year. I saw it at the group pic but didn't see it on the trails. In 2014 there was one that came down out of Ontario for the run. Both were pretty wild running 37's. As cool as they are I will stick to thinking about an overland truck build.

One of the aspects of an overland truck is being rugged and reliable.. What's more rugged and reliable than a big ol solid axle?! Plus you can have a smoother more stable ride offroad!

Yeah. Think of it like my version of buying a Harley. My bike days are long behind me and with using a chair now I need some extra room so I am looking for a 2011 and newer Clubman S auto. It will strictly be a summer toy. There is a decently active bunch here in the Maritimes and in New England.

Nice nice! That doesnt seem like too big of a dream to acheive. I work directly beside a Mini dealer if you want me to check inventory for one (I work for the parent company for the dealer so I can put someone on lookout too if you want a specific color or whatever)

    Every.

    Fucking.

    Time.

    I go to bed.

    I cough.

    And cough.

Happens maybe 2-3 times a week. I'm told it can last for a couple months
