    Ooh that wear drove me up the wall in my 06. Nice clean, dare I say mint interior.. except the worn out awful steering wheel leather. I considered buying a cheaper plastic wheel from the base model but never got around to it.

    I cut the factory wheel cover with my wedding ring the first week I had the truck.

    Yep, I can't stand the look of most covers, especially those slip on kind. I used a Wheelskins on my '78 VW bus and was very happy with the results. The wheel originally had no cover. Only pic I have handy that shows the wheel and I sold the bus last year.

    The wheel on my Tacoma is showing wear and I'll probably wrap it with a Wheelskins as well. One thing I've noticed that causes wear is having a pocket knife clipped into my pants pocket; it'll occasionally drag on the wheel when getting out.


    ETA- Just looked at those Chinese covers- they look nice. If I can find one in black or gray for my '05 I'll probably go that way instead of the Wheelskins.
