    My vote is SR5 4X4 if you dont need a locker. If an extra 4K is in your budget then get the TRD 4X4. Skip the 4X2.

    In some places you get better resale valve with a 4x4 as opposed to a 4x2

    Does the SR5 come with the P&T package though? I.e. auto headlights, heated seats, stuff that should be standard on a year 2016 vehicle?

    When I bought mine, the dealer had a TRD OR dcsb 4X2 and a TRD sport 4X2 dclb both were 32k. I was worried about not having the locker, but after driving in the snow I found that the auto limited slip is very good in normal driving in snow. If you plan on doing a lot of off roading, then the locker is probably a better feature.Also keep in mind that the TRDs come with push button start and the SR5 does not.

    I'd a hop a new dealer. Those prices are crazy high imho. I'd get a 4x4. If you play in the dirt/snow etc.

    For a reference I got my double cab trd or 4wd short bed for 34k

    I paid 34k for my OR, no P&T package, but I'm in Alaska , where cost of living is high and the dealer charges $600 for a winterization package. Lower 48 prices should be around 33 without the tech package

    38K for a TRD OR sounds like it has premium tech on it. You should be able to get a TRD OR 4x4 AT for 34,000 (no options except towing) rather easily.

    Not in Northern CA - specifically the SF Bay Area. Most trucks sold here are 2WD, and very little discounts.

    Just me, but it would be worth the 4k to me to drive to SoCal or Oregon/Nevada for the truck

    E locker and air lockers are the same. Just means you can lock up your diff. So your tire spin together even while turning. And a normal open diff. Like the sr5 has sends power to only one wheel
