    I have a 2007 4x2 (2.7L I-4 Manual).

The wheels that came on the truck are 15's and the bolt pattern should be 5 x 114.3 with HPO offset. I am looking for 16's that look decent (truck like) and don't cost $300+. I'm kinda going for the 4x4 tacoma wheel look. Any suggestions would be helpful. I have looked aroundon the internet but I couldn't find anything decent on ebay or craigslist....

    Thanks,
    Ben

    Welcome to TW.

What size tires do you plan on running with 16" wheels?

I have some 15" Mojaves on my 5 lug.

You might want to use TireRack.com. I've bought several tire sets and wheel/tire packages from them over the years. Their service is first-rate.

I plan to purchase a 235/60-16 alloy wheel with Bridgestone's Touranza Serenity tire next March as a summer tire/wheel set-up. My local Bridgestone dealer wants $200 per tire versus Tire Rack's $138. Wheels are your choice. Mine is in the $120 range.

Tire Rack will help to keep you from making a mistake and ordering something too tall or too short. A 235/60-16 is almost identical in loaded radius to the stock 15-inch set-up, so speedometer/odometer readings won't be completely out of whack.

I kept the stock wheels and changed the tires to some Uniroyal Laredo 235-50 R15s. The truck rides a bit stiffer than it did with the stock Dunlops but it handles much, much better with the increased tire width and stiffer sidewalls. My speedometer now agrees with my GPS, the truck sits a little higher and the 235s fill the wheel well a lot better than the stock 215s.

I know the offroad crowd will not agree with my size combo, but I called discount tire today and will be ordering Ballistic Jester wheels with terra grapplers. I am going with 20x9, +12 offset, and 265/50R20 size tires, so I don't have any rubbing or clearance issues. I have a 2010 TRD sport without a lift. The unfortunate thing is that the tires will be out of stock for a while, so the salesperson quoted me a great deal to wait. I'll post pics when I get the deal done.

My speedo already reads 4% fast compared to my gps. Wouldn't going to 235-50-15 make it worse as the tires will be spinning even faster for a given road speed?

Could any body tell me if changing from 15" to 16" rims & tires would void any warranty. I have a 08 Tacoma SR5 2wd 18,000 miles with 15" 205/70-15 and would like something bigger and would look a little better. Any ideas or help or opinions would be helpful

Just ordered a Ready Lift 3" lift and 16x8 custom black powdercoated wheels. Going to run 285 Goodyear AT/S. Suspension lift SHOULD NOT void the warranty per my Toyota mechanic. Will post pics as soon as I have them.
