So trying to plan a trip to NH's class 6 roads with the NJDB's this year. Upon doing some research I came across some pics on google and your build. Got any insight on good places to acquire maps/routes? The Overland Challenge is what piqued my interest but at $325 a truck it's hard to get a partner to come with me on the journey.

definitely check ^that source out...they have a nice database already to browse through

if you venture into VT at all, the counties released updated maps not long ago with all trails and roads, http://vtransmaps.vermont.gov/mapsftp/current.asp no descriptions, but you'd be able to see the class IV roads and legal trails by town/county

if you get any maps for VT, they're all PDF maps which can be used with an app PDFMaps which will use your phone/tablet's gps to ping your location on the maps

and when you get an offer like \/ definitely take advantage of that...i know the routes i've seen from Vermont Overland have been very useful and i would imagine the NH routes would be as helpful

not really a chrome fan, but was liking how the bronze looked so we stepped it up a notch in the glam life and went with 30" gold on the taco and 16s on the trailer

As a Canadian, I find the need to always have a concealed firearm confusing and slightly frightening. I'm curious though, how do you carry it in a way that isn't uncomfortable?

inside wasteband holster...it's a sof-tuck from desantis currently

it even has a separation that allows me to tuck in my shirt easily so i can easily carry on workdays too

i have an M&P Sheild 40 that is actually pretty comfortable to carry

I just googled the Shield 40. The barrel looks so short.. what's the effective range?

Those holsters look neat. Not that I'd ever get a permit to carry up here.

    it's a conceal weapon, not a sharpshooter

most situations that would warrant defending with a conceal will be relatively short range...if i'm trying to pick someone off from >50ft, chances are that will not hold up in court as a life threatening situation and self defense...
