Your build nearing completion?

 

Hahahaha no. I'm redoing the hot side didn't like how it was sitting. I've been picking away at small stuff. Nothing ground breaking. I do have all the parts to build the engine. Trans is getting built heads are getting port an polished. So after the new vband housings for the turbos come in I'll do all the fabrication an then wire the truck brake lines etc. then I'll pull it all apart build engine an get a ton of powder coat done lol. No purple glitter this time hahaha

 

Lol. None of that stuff.

What size were your twins again?

 

they are precision 6266 with .82

 

Good for ~1400 bhp combined.

 

Yup gonna shoot for 1000

A few of this weekend's accomplishments. Had to work Saturday and couldn't get started until after 4 p.m.







Goldylocks is in the engine bay as of last night. Ran into issues with a pair of bad pilot bearings. Just returned from the store with some quality new bearings. What a F'ing hassle that was. Could have had the trans bolted up, if not for the delay. Just about to get wrenching to get this project rolling!

 

Cup of coffee to get started this morning. Swapped out these valve covers with the other ones. That way I can get these painted or powder coated differently.



Pretty much all buttoned back up. I have to have the accessories on, as well as that charge pipe, before I proceed with stabbing the transmission. Otherwise I will be fighting the angle of the engine as it leans backwards towards the cab.

Since my TOB is not a continuously riding tob, I had to re adjust the gap between it and the clutch's springs. A lot of double checking.



Right now, I just finished with the transmission fill, and clutch bleeding. About to install the headers and y-pipe for the start-up.

 

Ps those valve covers a friend welded for me since I didn't have a welder when those wer done
