Toytec top plate spacer 3/4

Looking to level out the front with the toytec top plate spacer with stock coils which gives a small lift at 3/4inch. If anyone has experience with them does it lift it 3/4 or more like 1inch? I was looking at the 5100 but I will change out my stock shocks when they have a lot more miles on them and probably go to adjustable coilovers down the road.

 

I got these and they are true 1/2" after install they give me little over 3/4

Whatever thickness the spacer is, you get approx. twice that in lift.

Awesome! Love that color! Did you measure before putting on the spacer and after? If so did you get 3/4inch of lift or more?

 

I measured after i did the work and it was right at 3/4". not sure if it ended up settling or not. but doesn't appear to have

 

I have the 1/4 Toytec spacers on both sides in my 2nd generation dcsb with stock coils and it gave me exactly a 1/2 inch of lift.

 

the spacers for 3/4" lift are only about 3/8-1/2" thick

 

I don't know what the exact thickness but Toytec refers to them as 1/4 inch spacer. I know my spacers don't provide 3/4 inch of lift. I was just trying to let the OP know that the Toytec spacer has been accurate for their lift amount for a very similar product.

 

I got a question.. why do you all want to go thru all the same amount of work to put spacers on when you could just do a lift kit with struts and springs?? I'm asking genuinely not trying to be a dick.

I know the lift kits are a lot more $$ than spacers but all that labor it would make more sense to just upgrade the suspension, am I wrong??

 

For me I just want to level the front 3/4 to 1inch. I don't want to change out my front stock shocks yet since there still only 3000 miles on it. I will change them out when needed. If I wanted to do a 2 to 3inch lift then I would replace the shocks and struts.

 

For me it came down to 3 reasons

1. I'm a dealer tech so labor was free. I have the tools and space to do the work

2. Bilstein 4600 and 5100's are valved the same. So why take off the bilsteins that i already paid extra for on my TRDOR.

3. I eventually have plans for 2.5-3" lift and didn't want to spend a ton on parts that will be coming back off

 

It's a lot more work to disassemble strut compared to just adding top spacer.

 

It's the same amount of work. Have to disassemble the strut to change the studs in the top

 

No need to change studs if your spacer is 1/2 or less with new top nuts

 

Studs don't even stick through the frame with the toytec 3/4 spacers

 

Interesting, mine was ok! I only had to replace studs after adding 1/4 taco lean spacer

Like I said if you have new nuts stock studs will still work. Stock nuts have spacer under each nut, if that makes sense

 

The studs in mine were only 3/4" or so long. The toytec ones were like 2"

 

I'll measure mine when I get home

 

Maybe there is a difference between the Hitschi and bilstein shocks
