Shin Buster

Anybody else whack their knee/shin on this thing? Hurts like a bastard. Poor location for this lower edge to be sticking out IME

I'm 6'2" with an access cab and I don't have any issues. Maybe move the seat back

 

It's usually if I jump in, in a hurry.

 

Not me ... probably because I am old and fat, and I have to crawl into my Taco like a dog crawling into a doghouse. I am 5' 8", but I drive with the seat back.

 

I'm about 5'9" and I've done this several times, I guess my legs are long for my height. but I totally agree with you, it's just as bad as stepping on legos

I'm 6'3" and I haven't hit my knee on it once. But I have pretty long legs so my seat is moved pretty far back.

 

No, but busted my knee jumping in before I had the door opened far enough LOL.

 

When you get old you won't be jumping. Give it another 30 years.

 

How are you hitting your shin? I could maybe see your knees. Sounds like your sitting too close

 

I haven't hit my shin yet. But after reading this post I'm sure I will.

 

I'm only5 10, I hit my head on door jamb cuz I jump in like a boss.

Sounds like you moved your seat back lol

 

On the 2nd gen access cab, I would reach in the back seat and hit my head on the part that the rear doors latch in. That hurts like a mother.

Now I got a DCSB, problem solved but no I never hit my shin on the dash. Maybe you need to scoot your seats back a little or get side steps / running boards.

 

So you didn't see the pillow and duct tape mod?

 

I hit my shin so bad the other day it started bleeding I was cussing up a storm lol
