Is this what "debadging" your Tacoma actually stands for?

 

Well I guess I f***ed up! I removed the frame sticker (I think it was a "G" but don't remember now). Reading about the Z or N or H stickers really bothers me. Is there anywhere else on the frame you can tell where it was manufactured. If not, who at a dealership will tell you about the frame or even take the time to do so? So far my truck has been great and I found out from the forum it was built in Texas. Hope I don't have the defective frame as others have said I could have...SH!T

 

Mine is a G what does the G stand for?

 

7544G is my model # on spec sheet? Made in Baja... Asked on forum what this means? No replies

The actual meaning of the "G" is as follows:

Gee as in "Gee I could have had a V-8"

Oh darn that's right, Toyota still doesn't offer the Tacoma with V8...

Ok, so maybe it really means:

"Gee I wish I had a V-8"

 

Mine has G2. Maybe they raised it to the second power?

 

I peeled mine off, thought it looked stupid rolling with an upside down G on my rig.

 

According to Austin Powers removing the G destroys your MoJo. Blue pills will not help.

What about the un-secured finder well?
what is the purpose of this? Appears that a simple washer would secure the plastic down using the bolt that is already present.
does anyone know why this plastic is flapping around?

the 'G' is for Gomez, he works on the assembly line... good guy too
