I am looking for recommendations and advice from anyone who has had success with installing a powered subwoofer under the front seats.

Looks like there is more room on the driver's side than the passenger's side. I'll try to get under there and measure tonight.

Has anyone had success with a particular brand/model and one side or the other (driver vs passenger locations)?

The storage areas in the back are filled with gear, so under the seat is my only interest right now. Thanks.

I wouldn't think there is enough room under either seat.

I just put one in and it's not bad at all. Surprised me even. I got tired of the Basslink sitting on the floor taking up room. I slid the Fosgate under the seat. Not a huge thump but it does sound good.

I did say clearly front seats, right? My center console has a console vault in it.

I'll look at the PS8 as a possible option.

Ive heard the kicker hideaway will fit under the passengers side, but I am thinking the TRD seats are different than the SR5 seats. There seems to be no room for a speaker under the passengers seat. Lots of wires and some harnesses in the way down there.

I'm just waiting to receive, test and review our next little surprise for those that want some lower frequency fill to fit under the seat.
I know that there are some things in the way but I'm more than confident that some minor work can be done to clear up the space a little

    What's the surprise?

I'm starting to like the newer Pioneer ts-wh500a also. It seems the be the shortest of them all above $200.

I'd be curious what he says as to pricing and availability if you don't mind sharing?

No response from him yet. All good. I went ahead a bought the pioneer ts-wh500a. It's $299 and on sale online yesterday for $200. Not a bad deal at all. I'll get it installed and post back.

I have installed full sub systems in the past, but it was traditional systems.
What all is entailed in installing this? I am guessing you still need to run a power wire from the battery, as well as a remote on/off, and then just hook up to speaker wires? Do you have the stock head unit or aftermarket?

Correct - I've got a Pioneer AVH-X3700 BHS so instead of speaker wire, I was able to use the sub preamp RCA jacks for the signal.

It tucks neatly up under the front drive seat in my 2011 Tacoma with the wire in interior conduit under the carpet. Very happy with fit and sound - I can grab some pictures later if you want.

If you chose to use the factory head unit and speaker wires for the signal, you don't have to run the remote signal wire.

i bought a Pioneer TS-WH500A at 33% off retail asking for a price matching guaruntee. I installed it under the passenger seat. Required pulling the seat, inverting all the wiring harnesses and turning the seat support bar to angle upwards. Just barely fit with 1/8" to spare, but the seat does slide over it. It sounds great and fills the cab with decent bass. I can't turn it up much past 75% without it being obnoxious. So I feel I made a great choice.

Under what seat. How was the fit. What steps did you take at achieve this. Any pictures? And how is its performance. I plan to install one this weekend and hope to place it under a seat as well.
