CB radio placement?

Anyone got any bright ideas for CB radio placement? I'm wondering if there is ANY room under the center console or front cup holders behind the gear shifter... (Manual transmission) has anyone pulled this apart yet?

Or is there room under the cup holders on the center console? (Looks like there may be)

I'm willing to remove the circuit board from the casing to slim things down, I would like the option to have the mic plugin located on the dash and easily removable.

I might buy a unit with the tuning controls on the mic itself.

All ideas welcome, please post pictures if you've already mounted your CB!
