I should know in the next week if I'm off the wait-list for a Prinsu Rack... and at that time I may need to continue armoring with a front skid :D
I was wondering what I should put for shipping address if I am able to pick it up from you in Fort Collins? I've been by the shop and got a tour while you were prototyping the skids on my girlfriends 3rd gen 4runner. @Joshp767

    Edit: Figured it out.

Yes, Josh designed his skid to work with the diff drop. There is a good bit of clearance for that drop.

Another question is will a 2016 work on a 2014? Thinking of trading in my truck later on and don't want to spend double just take it off and reuse it?

I just talked to josh and he said they fit them both. If you plan to trade up to the 3rd Gen buy the 3rd Gen skid plate though. You will need it for the oil filter access on the 16.

Painted and put on in record time. Couldn't be happier with the service and product. Put it all on by myself. I can imagine with a helper, it would be super simple.

Went the red route too after seeing the above :D Wound up having to use two nylon spacers on each of the front bolts, and two thick metal spacers that were on the stock skid to clear the differential, and it's still only a few millimeters from hitting it. Makes me a little worried the first time the skid is hit that it'll push up and maybe cause some damage. You can see the tolerance in the last photo

Edit: only bugs me a little bit, but makes me wonder if i uninstalled the diff drop kit how big an issue I'd have

Yes, and that's the biggest reason I got it.

just to clarify, the front skid covers the oil pan, but there is still a hole in there to access the drain plug and drain the oil without taking off the skid.

You have a pic of the front of your truck? Looks like you have a pelfreybilt bumper. I couldn't get my front skid to line up correctly and cut the lip off of it. (The skid I got was for a '16)

It's the US Off-road Winch Mount Bumper. Eventually I would like to get a high clearance bumper but it'll work for now.

    have a diff drop

Hitting the diff with stock spacers up front, nylon nuts not even touching the cross member, going out to depot to get some longer bolts and more spacers.

Love the skids tho great stuff, kinda expected this diff problem

Hey guys, Just installed the front 3 skids. Now i'm getting chatter from somewhere underneath the truck when I go slow in reverse. Anyone experience this and what's the fix?
