Yup, the bunkhouses are first come first served for one level of sponsor and the two available cabins up front are reserved for the top tier vendors.

You gotta pay to play though. The cost of being a vendor far outweighs the cost of a bunkhouse for the weekend.

It is. Unless you're doing an rv/paid for the hookup. Then it's any one of the rv spots.

Have any recovery gear? At the minimum you want a tow strap, hitch pin, and shackle to connect to your truck. You would be surprised how many rigs there have the bare minimum. I usually carry two straps at events like this because not all the trails are short enough for a single strap.

Good deal; I get nervous when people start talking about their "first" trip off road. After watching a couple people screw around with a locked PreRunner on a lvl 3 trail because the kid had "been everywhere his 4x4 buddy had been" I hate wasting time watching people who should not have been there get unstuck.

I know everyone has to learn; but sometimes the best way to learn is the passenger seat.

Well I was only planning on doing the 1 and 2 diamond trails. My truck still needs a lot of stuff to make it a true off road rig. I'm also planning on doing some of the training runs and whatnot.

I'm heading out there next weekend. I'll try to run a few trails and let y'all know how they look.

In January, the level 2s (Linda Gail) was more like a 3 on the exit. And I'm talking about the bypass. Lol. Rain has changed it a lot over the past year. Hopefully they filled in some of the heavily eroded/rutted areas.

Stick with a smart group and you will learn a lot. The 1s out there are like ranch roads.

There's plenty out there that you'll be able to tackle. Keep in mind that the trails change day to day, so that 3 may be a 2 or a 4 depending on the day.

The guided trail runs are good, but there are times they run trails that a stock rig can't handle, and they'll let everyone know that beforehand. Some people are put off by that, but it is what it is.

Just head out there with an open mind and have fun.

We filled in the exit on Linda Gail with rocks the last time we were there. Some of us got through it but one ended up high centered so we improvised.

I agree with this! You can learn a lot by just riding or following the more experienced people around.

I say that, and when I started wheeling in 2010, I just went out and started hitting stuff hard. My old Tacoma held up though! I would follow my friend around who had a very built Jeep. I did just about everything he did, and I just had a spacer 3" lift on 33's.
