Nice. I just applied DynaMat/Dynapad in the trunk area and am working my way around the car. I'm going to get the doors done today and then wait until the rest of my material gets in to do the roof and the floor. I will do the floor last and install the system at the same time.

Good heads up on the gain settings. I am looking forward to getting the chance to mess with it!

    OK fellas,
If I use lci7, I can add a pair of subs and a amp & keep all factory controls, ie: steering wheel, usb port etc..

    Is the above correct?

I want to keep factory head unit... I will update factory speakers at a later date.

    Thank you...

Yes. With no harness you will have to tap the factory harness for the speaker wires. You can use Metra cables with a small bit of modification to bypass cutting the factory harness and still use the factory head unit.

There is no plug an play harness to add in a LOC. You either need to cut your factory wires, or do what some of us did and buy a set of stereo harnesses and wire that in between the radio and the truck's wires. The harness part numbers are in the first page of this thread. I assume you're adding a LOC to run aftermarket amps and speakers right?

After watching the ********* video, will a LOC do the trick with a stock HU or will I need their ReCurve unit to adjust the detuned signals from the HU? Part of me thinks they are pushing their recurve and that the detuning isn't a huge deal for a non audiophile. Thoughts?

depending on your stock deck, there is no detuning from the factory. the JBL system might do it. i have Entune Plus and get full range out

    likely a marketing tactic

The wiring diagram / chart on page 1 of this thread is incorrect as it applies to a 2014 Entune non-JBL radio.

It's say's "do not use" the "O" wire position. This wire is required for radio button illumination.
It also says "do not use" the "J" wire position. This wire is required for headlight activation dimming of the radio.

If the thread is going to be a sticky with a diagram and specs, it should be correct. Just saying'.......
Would have saved to time of pulling the radio to troubleshoot twice.

TW member Revelations posted a great thread confirming my findings and helping to solve the missing wire required to illuminate the radio buttons issue.

where do the harnesses plug into? They connect to each other but how do they connect to the head unit?

ok so i cut into the wires that come out of the back of the HU and then wire in the wiring harnesses from Metra I have and then wire the harness to the LOC? Im so confused. I have no clue what I am doing.

one male harness plugs into the deck, one female harness plugs into the truck OEM wiring. Connect your equipment in-between these two harnesses. Doing this correctly should mean you do not have to cut or splice any factory wires.

none of the harness plug into the back of the 2016 entune headunit and fit. So when you say one male plugs into the deck and one female plugs into the OEM truck wiring I dont know what that means?

Sorry, I have not seen a 2016 radio yet. I know that 2014/2015 use a male harness into the deck. I just installed one myself.

Sounds to me like you have the wrong harness? Can you post part numbers or pictures of both harnesses? and the back of the radio too.

I just upgraded my 2016 entune premium (non/JBL) with the harnesses referenced earlier and they do connect to the HU and factory connectors.
