Doesn't help that your cap leaks and traps moisture in the bed all the time

What an awesome idea! I've been trying to figure out a good way to keep my gas can from moving around. Consider this idea stolen!

Like most of the others, I keep bungees and other tie-down gear in the covered ones, since I added the swingbox on my driver side, I had to take off the cover from that one in the back, but the box sort of covers it. I'm planning on wiring in a combo 12V/USB socket unit that's made for motorcycles into the rear cubby behind the swingbox with enough slack in the cable to get it out onto the tailgate when I need it (partly because the one over the wheelwell is tough to reach since I put on the topper).

I've got a weather-resistant 12V "lighter" socket in the open one over the wheel on the driver side (aux power circuit is run off a custom switch inside the cab), the Pass side is tough to get much in/out of since my Hi-Lift is mounted along that side of the bed below the tie-down rail so I don't use it for much

    None...yet!
I keep strappies in there, since my bakflip keeps moisture out.

If anyone has any tip or a write up for a lighting mod that would be much appreciated!
