Nice I had a ver8 jdm swapped 03 bugeye. That little 2.0l with avcs was pushing 350whp and 420wtq with an 18g turbo, man do I miss boost! What I dont miss is constantly breaking shit! Modified cars...

I sold a Forester to buy my Taco. Bought it new in 2003, great little car, took it all sorts of places that it had no right to go offroading. But, when I moved to Arizona I took up hunting again, and you can't fit an elk carcass in a Forester....

Spoken like a true Subaru owner. We took that granny car over some pretty rough terrain without any problems. It eventually met its demise via blown engine. :bananadead:

LOL Yeah, but then I get the nasty calls from my HOA. Plus I don't know how well the Forester suspension would handle 700 lbs of elk.

Yeah, the looks on the dirt bikers faces were priceless. I was driving out to deer camp over some rough forest roads with a buddy of mine following me in his CJ one year and he couldn't keep up. When he catches up to me at camp he says, "You need to GoPro yourself driving in that thing and send it to Subaru so they can make a commercial out of it."

Mine didn't die, it was still going strong at 165,000 miles, it went to a good home.

I had a '96 Impreza Outback through college in Idaho, drove it until one of the wheels started to fall off, literally (wheel bearing)@ 245K - Sold it to a coworker, and its still going. Same thing, took that car places a car had no place going. In the mud, snow and ice, as long as it had clearance it would go. Now I have an old beater '99 outback for my DD - love how solid it feels to drive.

Yes, the dreaded HG of the 2.5's. But the '96 had the bulletproof 2.2L engine, so I never dealt with it. And my current 2.5L is happy, but my time will come.

Haha holy shit!! I have no avcs trying to get that sorted out but it dyno'd at 270whp and 244wtq when my buddy had it tuned at mac autosport a few years ago.. I don't know why he never got the avcs figured out..I bet that 03 was a freakin blast!! Haha

Yea the avcs wiring is a bitch and even harder to tune! I had to get the avcs motor shipped from japan because the ej207 was never sold in the usa. But it has forged internals and a 7200 rev limit from the factory. Its nice!

I swapped out the twinscroll turbo system for a greddy 18g and had 1000cc topfeed injectors and e85. Full 3" tuboback and dumped external wastegate. Too much fun!! ENJOY your bugeye wagon :)

Jeez man!! That thing was built! Yea this avcs motor came from Japan but it's missing the wiring for the avcs so he just tuned without it.. still runs fine turbo dosent spool til like 4500 lol but its still a lot of fun
