I dunno if the OP is serious or not either...

 

I'm not sure about this thread, if OP is serious this could easily be in the "best of..." thread. If OP is just trolling to be a d*&k, well, it's still pretty freakin funny.

@Howen, balancing air pressures is an issue, but yours isn't too bad. If you are close to your next tire rotation and ACI, you might just wait and have the dealer do it?

ACI (air change interval) is an important PM task too. We have dozens here adamant about 3k OCIs with synthetic.

Not understanding their silence on this issue.

Correct, OP should go back to dealer and have the TPMS properly calibrated. Adjustment procedure is covered under a Toyota Service Bulletin, 2016-ID.10-T

 

I'm taking this to the Service Advisor 4/1/16 when I make my annual visit.

 

It's a fairly recent TSB that applies to the third gen models. If your Service Advisor is not sure what you are talking about, make sure you have them check with the Toyota regional Service and Parts advisor. Ammendments are probably updated weekly, as more of these challenges with the first year of the third gen are reported by customers.

Thanks everybody for your suggestions. This seems like the only way to do it. How does everyone dispose of the extra air? Can I take it to Autozone?

 

I think your gonna have to fully restart the whole process completely empty all four tires of air and use a bike pump to pump them back up so you can get it a bit more accurate and then hope the weather doesn't change cuz then there gonna go all different on ya

 

This reminds me of last nights ordeal. My sisters tire went flat from a nail in the garage. I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how we can get it to a shop without paying for a tow. Duh- put on the spare and get off the internet. I'm getting stupid going to the Internet to solve all my problems.

 

or take it off, put in your truck and have it fixed, then reinstall. Assuming her vehicle can be static during that time.

Saves futzing with the spare and the second jacking.

 

I don't know if stupid is the right word, but common sense about the physical world sure has gone out the window in this digital age.
