Winnipeg retains 1/3 of Ladd's salary

 

Jets already had one of the lowest payrolls in the league. Fraser and Harrison have been in the minors all season so their contracts don't count towards the cap. Jets retained 36% of Ladd's salary according to Darren Dreger.

 

That leaves room for Chicago to make another move.

 

Jets will attempt to sign Ladd at seasons end. I would guess Ladd will get a contract between 5 and 6 Million per season.

 

That would makes sense. To be honest any team that signs Ladd will benefit. His leadership and work ethic is great.

 

Sounds like the Canucks may end up doing the same thing with Dan Hamhuis
