tire type n size suggestions for my project

    hi everyone... I'm new to the forum... which is great by the way...

    I just ordered a 6" procomp lift (vsc) for my 2009 Taco... I called procomp and they told me I have to go with an 18x9 rim to clear the spindles...

    now the problem is the tire size... I want to go 33" tire... any suggestions???
    and does anyone know what size tire that is???

    285/65/18 ???

    or

    305/60/18 ???

    thanks... what are other ppl out there using??? those who have a 6" lift with VSC and had to use an 18 inch rim???

    No, most are using 17 or 16. I don't know why they told you you had to have 18's unless there is something special with that lift?

    I would say find a member that has a 6" lift, such as bcgrednek3006. He should be able to help you out with some of your questions.

    My cousin got the same lift kit and was also told by Procomp and 4wheel parts that he must use an 18" wheel or larger. idk why but they stressed that and they recommended 35s - i am getting that same set up when i get the money to get the lift kit

    supposely since our truck comes with VSC its different from bcgrednek3006's kit

    I know he runs 16" stockers but he doesn't have the VSC. I imagine they changed the spindle design for the VSC. OP, better get the 18"s then per their and dgalleon's recommendations
