I just got a brand new set of stock leaf springs from after doing some work for my uncle. That's why I'm stuck on the progressive. I'm just wondering if those bump stops are the ones I would need, I don't want to spend 250$ for fox bump stops right now...

Ahh i see your reasoning on the aal's.

No! You do not need fox air bumps or anything crazy. Seriously, for your needs, i would totally do the square tubing like i mentioned in my last post. Thats really all you need. It just extending what you already got. Theres no reason for going extravagant on bumps.

I'll definitely look into it. Would those ones I posted work too? Sorry for more questions everyone...

@JKO1998 Here is kinda what i was talking about with the square stock. Minus that orange bumper deal.
Id get a short kength of that in 2 inch cut it in half or whatever and simply bilt em on, there is even already a hole in that bump stop off of the frame to utilize, boom extended bump stops for 5 bucks!

These are exactly what I have. I think they look cleaner than doing the tube extensions but what's posted above works the same. I measured my flex/droop and determined that I needed the 4 1/2". You need to cycle your suspension after you install the AAL and shocks to figure out what length works for you.

Here's mine; I modified them to fit in the stock location.

@JKO1998 if you ditched your stock bumps those 4 1/2 inchers would be bout the right size. I think they are intended to go on the frame but i like the look of them on the springs like the last guy posted...

I'll just have to look at it when it gets down to it. Either way, those bump stops aren't a ton of money.

0881's gave me 2" at first but dropped to 1" after a year under the weight of my bumper/winch. The 0882's haven't lost any height in over a year. I went through 2 sets of Dakars in a year, both went negative-arch in a few months. ARB warrantied parts and labor on both. Went with an AAl, and most importantly extended bumpstops. I put 4.5" energy suspension bumpstops onmy frame instead of on top of the leaf pack. Now if they get blown out/torn off, I don't have to mess with the leaf pack, just bolt another set on. I wheel my truck hard both on trails and in the desert, and tow a camper. Since I put the extended bumpstops on I haven't lost any height in the rear or gone negative arch. It's a super stiff set-up but it still flexes from full-stuff to full-droop. The new Nitrocharger sport shocks are way better than the old nitrochargers at high speeds on washboard and baby-head rocks, pretty rough and stiff at slow speeds, but that's the price we pay if we need towing capacity and off-road performance.

I just air down to 12-15 psi and compensate for the rigidity I need for towing. That's an extra 3" of effective travel without that $2500 on a long travel kit. Airing down/onboard air is the best and cheapest mod any wheeler can do, no matter what your rig is set up for.

Im in need of some extended bumps and i too am gunna get those energy suspension ones and bolt em to the frame just like @stumblestacks for ease of installation and ditch the stockers on the leaf packs.

They'll bolt on just like the pic i posted a few days ago for ya when we were talkin about using the square tubing as extenders if sticking with the stock bumps.

I was just wondering if he cut off the stock ones really and how he bolted them on.
