Youll have to undo the ubolts and the stockers just come right off, the ubolts hold them on. And yes youll need to take the old ones off. You would end up with like one inch of trvel before the two bumps hit eachother if you left the stockers on.

Would be easy to bolt on, just drill a hole or utilize the existing hole on the spot where the stock bumps hit the frame. The place where that square stock was mounted to on that pic i posted the other day. The new bumps already have a bolt and nut so you just need a hole to utilize and thats it, super simple.

Perfect, thank you. Probably ordering all the things next week. Dumb question though. I read someone I only need 1 extended brake line for the rear, not 2. Is that true?

    True! Just one line.
There is just the one line from your brake proportioning valve that is mounted to the drivers side frame rail, then that one line connects to a junction on the axle that delivers fluid to both rear drums.

    Hey!! Perfect!

By chance did you drill a hole in the new bumps for the center pin on the leafs to go into without it punching its own hole?

    Check it @JKO1998

Ok so, the square piece coming off the frame that your bump stops are bolted to, those aren't factor bump stops? If they aren't I don't have bumpstops at all right now.
Oh sweet -30$ off my lift. That's one of the few things I'll need help with when installing. What's the easiest way to take a pack of leaf springs about without blowing them up and riping off my head?

No, the bumps have a deep recessed square pocket where they hit the leaf pack. I was worried about the leaf pin tearing the stops so I check it regularly and it seems to align properly. There are no abrasions or evidence of the pin hitting the stops.

The leaf springs arent really under any kind of load as long as youve got the weight of the truck off of them...make sense? They'll come right off with no fear of them coming apart under load.

So what you're saying is jack the truck up and put it on its frame not the axle. That makes sense.

@JKO1998 you shoukd have the u shaped piece of steel hanging off the bottom of your frame rails, that piece is what comes into contact with the rubber bump thats on top of your leaf pack.

The square bracket on the frame is what the factory leaf mounted bumpstops are supposed to contact. Our factory bumps are worthless little 2" cubes, mine disappeared sometime in the early 2000's. I just drilled a hole in the frame mounted bracket and put the new ones overhead.

Exactly, use jackstands on your frame and undo the ubolts and the bolts that go through the eyes of the leafs. Id prolly go for the bolts on the leaf eyes first but it dont matter. Some people really have a hard time with these bolts due to them being seized up, other peeps have no problem at all. Good luck!

Yeah even stumblestacks had lost his original rubber ones on his leaf packs, it happens...so just get the energy bumps mount en to the bottom of the frame like in stumbles pics and you be good to go my friend!

I wish I had known how important bumpstops were years ago, it would've saved me alot of time and kept me from limping home down trails with hyper-extended leafs and a sagging-ass taco looking like a wannabe trophy truck. A goid rule of thumb is to extend your bumpstops equally to the amount of lift that you add. Nothing like feeling your leaf springs pop into negative arch hundreds of miles from home and being stuck with 0 inches of travel.
