First gen has CBI offroad bolt on sliders so I went with them again. I chose powder coat and no kickoffs for options. Once installed I'll post pics but here they are on my old Taco. They've been great and have lasted for years.

Which dealer was it? I got referred by a friend to Karl Malone Toyota because he paid $500 over invoice. He gave me a salesman's name and everything. I asked for him when I called and was told he retired. So I got some kid in his 20's on the phone and he told me I'd be lucky to knock a couple hundred bucks off of msrp.

I don't understand these prices you all are paying. I live in a small town 250-300 miles from the next closest Toyota Dealership and I paid 300 over invoice back in November? My price was right around 32,500. Why do people pay MSRP? That makes it impossible for the next guy to negotiate.

I think it all depends on how patient and persistent you wanna be. Dealers have leverage because they know how much we want the truck. That being said, by shopping around and bringing the best offer you currently have they'll always want to beat their competition. Even if they sell for $1 over invoice they still win.

I ended up getting my truck for $350 over invoice because I presented the saleman with a deal I had in place for $650 over invoice. That and they gave me more than what my trade in was worth to pay it off. I told him I was ready to buy the truck from your competitor and wait the 8-12 weeks (even though I really didn't want to) Always low ball them because they always high ball customers. Haven't you seen the BS dealer add ons for stuff you don't even want?

At the end we were $300 apart on the deal, they still tried to squeeze me on the price I shook hands on. As long as you are firm they will break. The manager said are to really gonna walk away for $300? I said are you really going to let me walk for $300? "Put the plates back on my trade in, I'm outta here". We ripped up the offer, he stepped out, only to return 5 mins later and gave me the price I wanted.

It's all a game, and one of the most annoying processes, just be patient. Especially if you are in a big market.

+1 on what Tony said. I told them they were up in the night if they thought I was going to drive 2 hours and pay the same amount as I would at my local dealership. Beat them up on the price and do your homework. Get prices from multiple dealerships and use it as leverage to really get them down to a fair price. I got them to come down quite a bit and probably could have gone back and forth between a couple dealerships to get closer. At the end of the day I was ready to be done with all the bullshit and wanted to get my 8-10 week lead time on my truck started. The beginning of May is so far away!!

Dam dude, that looks sick. That's exactly the look I want for my DC QS...all black accents.

Question for everyone who changes their wheels, Do most of you sell the OEM wheels or keep them as a second set? I don't hate them, just like these black TRD better. It's hard to justify the extra expense for these wheels with a brand new set sitting on the truck.

I don't know if they perform or function any better than stock? I know OR tires will but I don't plan on much off roading yet.

Thoughts? And if you have sold them what did you get for them compared to how much the new setup cost.

    Thanks

Came out ok. Some of the edges sorta peeled when I rushed unmasking it. Temporary until I get a custom grille.
