Hey Guys, my truck is coming in at the end of march, i was going to get a jump on new shocks, and struts. Except i just read something about waiting for the warranty to expire, now if i did lift my truck and did put a cold air intake on it, would i void my warranty, also is there any way for me to get a full warranty list, because i would rather know now than order the parts and send them back lol. Thank you

they can't void your entire warranty. they can refuse to cover if something were to fail due to the suspension, cold air, blah blah blah. but they have to prove that it failed due to those mods.

when I done my lift, I called my dealership ahead of time, and they told me the only way they wouldn't cover something is if something were to fail due to my installation. just take your time on doing things, and do it right.

Congrats on the new truck! 2x4 or 4x4? What lift you looking at

2 inch lift seems to be completely reasonable to me considering Toytec's recomendations. My dealer wanted to install 3" lift spacers... What kind of lift and intake are you looking at? Remember acording to toytec the 16s are preloaded an inch over 2nd gens. Same lift should give you approx same ride height as a 2nd gen? My only recomendation is don't make your truck worse. Some folks have reported 1" of down travel after installing currently available strut/preload lifts. I wouldn'twant to hit a trail knowing that.

At the end of the day anything you replace/ upgrade won't be under warranty but it must be proven beyond reasonable doubt that the part you changed, broke the part you want covered undered warranty.

My center pin stripped out on me also. I wound up taking a hardened 3/8 socket head cap screw from work and it worked perfectly as a replacement. Center pin head measured .54" and the bolt head measured .55". Worked perfect and since I got it from work it was free!! :D

mine did the same. I took a standard old bolt and grounded the head down so it made a circle lol. got new ones on the way though.

Hmm okay. I wonder if they all use the same pin or we just all suck at tightening lol. I ended up purchasing a Dakar leaf pack because mine also squeaks like a stuck mouse.

So for a 2016 DC 4x4 SB, I am only looking to level the truck off (+1.5") for all the reading/reseaching/eyebleeding I've done, I am tempted to go 2883/with OME 90021 (with trim packer) and OME 60091 in the rear, no lift. Thoughts? I am looking to maximize the ride quality.

A small handful of select mods.
For those of you that used a bolt in place of centering pin - Did you make sure the sheer strength was the same or greater? Does the bolt fit tight or is there slop? Personally I would get with your AAL supplier and ask them for a new set of centering pins and put the proper part back in place. I have seen first hand what happens with a leaf pack and mounting plate that someone just used a bolt to replace the centering pin on. Over a long period of time the holes got honed out and the bolt broke on the trail over 100 miles away from home. Not something I would want to risk.

I used a grade 10 stainless bolt. I have centering pins on the way. I couldn't just leave it on the lift. the deaver ones were super soft and stripped easily.

All good. Just a suggestion. It's brand new truck. I would hate to see it get hurt.

Question will replacing the leaf pack give the same lift as adding the aal?

I bought an icon stage 2 lift and it came with grade 2 hardware for the leaf retaining clamp and I'm assuming same grade for the centering pin. I swapped the clamp bolts for grade 5 and the hardened socket head cap screw is greatly stronger than the center pin. The socket head cap screw is .010" (inches) larger than the center pin I received but both have the same thread. It still had a little bit of slop in the center pin, but being ever so slightly larger than the pin has not as much slop. I had no trouble getting the hole to line up.

    Centering pin / bolt replacement.
    MSC# 05522305
    Grade 8 3/8-16 x 3" socket head cap screw
Leaves enough length to keep overload if desired. I added 3 leafs and cut off about 1/2" leaving 1/2 - 3/4" exposed above the nut.
