Hmm, either way you should be able to get a compressor in there without removing it, but now that you have a UCA its probably faster to just disconnect the UCA and pull the coilover real quick.

Haha yup, so the plan is when I head out for my wedding I'm going a week early so I was going to head straight to ECGS and use the drive down to Charelston as a break in period

I'm at 4" maybe 5 too. Since I took the canopy off, drawers out and tools that were kept in the drawers I've gained some lift back.had 2" of rake loaded with all that

Definitely. Canopy I assume was around 250, drawers were probably another 250 then what ever gear I carried in them.

Got the roof done, I forgot the rest of my mat at home so I figured get the roof done and wait on the doors. So far Ive used 14 sheets to cover the floor, rear, and roof. Its a noticeable improvement so far, hopefully after the doors it will be a huge improvement.

Roof wasn't bad, I went to remove the headliner but didn't want to fuck with all the tape holding the wiring down so I just let it hang down much as possible and worked around it

Let me know how much of a PITA the doors are when you do them. Not looking forward to those. Also if you can sound deaden the firewall, that will make a huge difference too. a lot of noise we hear comes through the firewall. That will be a bitch......

So @hmcclung made a comment about this Lost creek road and it didn't seem to far away and a scenic drive is always nice. Pretty neat little dirt road with a handful of water crossings, I'm sure when its flooding those crossings are best left alone. Will have to go back in the summer when its a little warmer to walk around in the creek

Just read a post where you said you lived near Ventura. That's where I'm at now. Let me know if you ever make it back this way. We can hit up some trails.

@BajaRunner I did the passenger side doors today, didn't break any clips thankfully. Smaller the hands the better for doing the inside of the door, altho the inside was much easier than the outside since you have a flatter surface to work with. The outside was a pain because of all the wiring thats clipped to door, but both doors took 2-3hrs.

Tomorrow ill have the other two doors wrapped up and have a general consensus if it was worth the hassle. I can tell you now that the firewall and rear will likely still be an issue, foam should fix the back but not sure what I'm going to do with the firewall. Also I forgot to fix the dent I have while I had the door panel off :frusty:

Btw, don't regear if you don't absolutely have to. My pinion bearing is going out AGAIN and this is the second time since I regeared and second time in a year from the previous fix. Seems to be common with regearing the weak Toyota rear axle. That or I just have the worst luck ever. Having Wyatt get me quote for a Currie rear axle.

Yeah my end goal is to ditch the stock rear end for something that can take abuse, I did some reading a while back for a swap but need to do some more research on the e brake part of the swap. I'll keep that in mind

Yeah I already did the rear but still getting some road noise so I think foam is really my only option cause I don't really think a second layer will help much

Well the tin adhesive is mostly for heat and vibrations. The foam is the sound deadening material. The more layers of the foam deadening material you put down, the quieter it will be inside.

Not sure I'll replace the rear axle just yet. I might try a one piece drive shaft with a cv or a 2 piece with a cv. Hoping that will cure my problem with blowing through pinion bearings.
