    Brett,

I just did my half moon plugs and cam plugs. It ended up being super easy with some mentally challenging parts. You totally could have done it. I would say the whole thing could have been done in under 8 hours. I have pictures and videos of how to reseal them if yours ever leak again...

How are the 881's and Dakars holding up? Happy with the 881's? Did you do OME AAL or no?

I ditched the 881's in the first month and now running 882's.
No AAL was added to the rear leaves.
The Dakars are holding up well.

Why did you ditch the 881's? Just curious

I am doing all the research I can and I figure I should ask those who have used/experienced them first hand.

Ditched is a harsh word, lol.
So if you read through the whole thread, or just the first few pages, you'll see I actually went from 881, to 883, then to 882. It had a lot to do with adding the bumper and the hype on here about absolutely needing 883's with a plate bumper. Which is true and accurate to a point, if you are running a heavy armored plate bumper, go 883. If you have a tube or hybrid like mine then definitely the 882's. V6 vs 4cyl plays a part in it too as the 4cyl is lighter.

How far off was your 30 tooth speedo? Trying to figure out if I should go with the 32 or 33.

It was about 10mph off, give or take.
I would assume if you had 4.10's to begin with and jumped to 4.88, you would also need the 33 tooth, but I could be wrong. It is still off (slow) by 2-3 mph at 65 but close enough.

post #409 I had the 32t in and was still of by 5 mph. so the jump from 30t to 32t gave me back 5mph and then going to 33t gave me 2-3 mph back. Using that, a 34t would be ideal.

I had 4.30 to start with. I'm only off by about 5mph. Looks like the 32 took 5 off yours. I might start with that.

Edit: didn't see your last post before I wrote that

Any chance you are looking to get rid of your 32?

It may or may not fit. The shaft length may be different unless you want to press off the gear. I was keeping it for a spare but it's been a few thousand miles so I prolly won't need it. Have you taken a look at yours yet?

No I haven't yet, I really hadn't thought of doing this until it was mentioned earlier. If the shaft is different I have access to a press so swapping those shouldn't be a problem.

I will ship it to you. PM me an address.

Or maybe a road trip and meet somewhere. You're just a few hours away.

Finally got around to installing the speedo gear today and now I have nothing! Haha. I had to press the old one off (31 teeth) and it broke in the process. Pressed the 32 on the shorter shaft and reinstalled. To me it didn't feel like the teeth aligned with the other gear. Like it wasn't touching. Ever hear of any reason why it may not have worked?

EDIT: Nevermind seems to be working now. Off for a drive to see the difference.

Only drove 7.6 miles. Both the GPS and odometer matched but I think the GPS was a little bit ahead. I'll need to drive more to get a better idea. As for the speed I was getting 3 different numbers. GPS, dash speedometer, and obdII to Torque. I thought Torque and the dash would read the same but they weren't. I'll look into it more tomorrow.

you really gotta get on the highway or somewhere a sustained speed can be had in order for everything to line up with the GPS and any obdII gadgets. I had the same ocd going with my speedometer, GPS and Ultra Gauge.
The "refresh rate" or whatever you want to call it is different with all these gadgets, and then you factor in the human foot and Colorado's less than flat roads and it's difficult for all of them to read the same.
My GPS and UG are damn near dead on. the speedo is still off by 3 mph.
