Oh boy, wish me luck... Gonna use up a pizza dough ball, spicy taco meat, ricotta, cheddar, black olives, onion, red bell. Will attempt Mexican calzones.

    When a 2-piece fish & chip combo isn't enough...

Hard to tell in the pic - but there was 8 pieces of fish there.

Love the places that go by weight.

Local place here just east of Toronto

this place goes by weight. Their "1-pc" is supposed to be 10oz. But because all fish isn't created equal - they divey it up by weight.

    Technically - I ordered a 3-pc meal = 30oz of fish

I helped my GF make dinner for us and a couple friends the other night. She decided on mini/individual beef Wellingtons, which we've never made before. They turned out freakin' awesome!

I pan seared the filet mignons for a few minutes and set on a rack to let the oil drain off and cool down. We braised some spinach in the pan with a little cabernet, then some mushrooms. Layed out a puff pastry, some mushrooms (not on mine - don't do fungus), the filet, a little spinach then some Stilton cheese. Wrapped them, cut out everyone's initials with extra dough, then in the freezer for 15-20 minutes. When we took them out I brushed them with an egg wash then into the oven for an hour. They were delicious!

    Love it.

We've done beef Wellington a few times. It is everything that is good and right in the world.

You should try a full homemade pizza on there. Smoked pizza is AWESOME. Whole new flavor profile. We have been doing them for a couple of years now.

Just picked up one of these. Can't wait to try it out. I made ramen noodles last weekend, but I just can't cut them thin enough by hand. Now I want to make some fettuccine and some ravioli.

Anyone have suggestions for good pantry and or fridge inventory apps? I use one called My Pantry and it's pretty good, but I'm hoping there are better ones out there.
