Nice Idea, although it may be the picture, I dont see where the tools are secured in the rack. In an accident those guys are going to become deadly projectiles...

Started a post yesterday but never finished it....now have more to say...I'll just add to it.. Might be long... Sorry...

Threw a bed mat in, got the quick fist bed rail brackets setup with mini fist to use to transport my ultra lights\mini cast to the creek..and added the WT flaps... Left the backside undone until i get the groomets... Still they feel pretty secure...

One downside to the shortbed is i can't fit bigger rods on the sides but that's no biggie...

I was looking into getting a little pelican bass raider 10 footer... Or similar little boat that i can just throw on the truck without a trailer..

I Got a kayak... Father has a huge 25' pontoon boat... Those bases are covered.. I want something i can stand up on and fit 2 adults comfortably...and not have to use the trailer all the time. With the long bed Tacoma i was certain i could throw a pond prowler or pelican in the bed...

Anyone done similar with the shortie?

Do we even have any fishers here?

Could my sr5 v6 with tow package haul a 25' pontoon boat? I know the boat makes my truck look tiny lmao

And still no luck getting entune to recognize my VIN.

Got an appointment tomorrow to hook up my cali- raised led. They want almost 200 to hook it up And wire it... STEEP imo...but i don't have the know how... And don't trust the other shop i could go to...

And just got tracking into on my seat covers from coverking.ordered before the accident. Black and charcoal... Hope it still looks good in the white truck.

Paying for the New grille in a couple days..After the grille is redone I'm going to get a new exhaust. Thinking about that delta flow 40 series.. Not having to upgrade the wheels and tires opens up more options for me lol

I rented a 24' Bullet UL for a few days this week. The specs on the trailer said 4817 dry with a 415 tongue weight. It felt much heavier than that while towing. The rental company did not have actual weight info. I'd be interested in your towing experiences with this trailer. I'll be writing up details on mine this weekend.

I think it's just a way to customize a bit without a major expense. After you spend 30K+ sometimes there's not much left over to spend. Plus spending 38k and then pulling in a parking lot to find the only spot is next to someone with the identical Tacoma isnt fun for some. Little changes make that a little easier. I think most are on TW to find ways to get that one of a kind feeling about their truck. Even if it's just derping a couple badges.

Ok, so I just picked up my Tacoma Monday so I haven't done anything yet. But, I am looking for some mods that won't void my power train warranty but will be useful. I stumbled across the relocation of the diff breather and thought that it sounds like something I would use here in Oklahoma because we get some heavy flooding around here. The question is, will it void my warranty? I could do the research but I have a forum full of experience at my fingertips. Drop some knowledge bombs!

Power train is considered engine, transmission, and differentials. Any kind of permenant "aftermarket" modification will void your warranty.

That's helpful. I'll just stay out of deep water until it's expired. Thanks!

Only if said modification can be directly linked as a cause of the failure. They can't just void warranty without cause.

I think a lot of that depends on your dealership. We have all heard the stories that once a dealership notices a modification, they'll use that as their scapegoat to explain the cause of the problem.

That's what I had read. It doesn't seem like something that would cause failure. Actually quite the opposite if you ask me. This last flood destroyed my Z71 Diff because of water intrusion. It was a piece of crap though so it needed new seals anyway.

I did this mod and installed a pin switch for the tailgate as well as the included button switch, which will be used as an override to shut them off when needed.

The wiring is the same as instructed but the pin switch replaces the grounding point.

No guides, just ordered some supplies off Amazon and did it. mattgecko on here offers a kit though. I thought it would be fun to figure out myself and I'm very happy with the outcome

Really? I'm on the other side of the fence..

I changed the interiors to led on the fist truck and miss it on the newest. They are really bright but i like that... And really don't care for the factory yellow bulbs.

There not so bright it hurts to look at them or anything... But then again i guess I'm use to really bright lights... My shop lights are full spectrum grow bulbs... Best shop lights ever... At midnight its like daylight in there.

i hate the yellow bulbs but imo it is too bright. my truck is tinted pretty dark and when the light comes on the widows become transparent again. i may just put a piece of film on the cover to dim it down
