Sorry, no pictures. I don't have the tent on now. They aren't bulletproof but they do cover the nuts so you can't easily take off the nuts.

Yeah. It's a lot of weight and wind resistance to have on board, especially on top of a cap, if your rig is a daily driver. When I finally add an RTT, I'll install a garage lift/winch system before I buy the RTT and only deploy it when I am...uh...deploying.

I've had it in snow and rain without an issure. Have not had any leaks. Build quality seems to be great but I guess I don't have anything to compare it to. I have no complaints.

I just have two bed bars with no problems. Two people is perfect. Three people will be fine, maybe kinda tight. Your height will not be a problem. I'm 6'1" and have tons of room height wise

U still won't be able to see anything in the rear view mirror. I'd show u but the tent and bars are off the truck.

I also have a Smittybilt Overlander RTT with annex. It's my first RTT and I love it and have no complaints.

Broke in the Mt. Rainier last weekend, this thing is huge! Love the bigger than Cali King size mattress.

Some takeaways from my first couple weeks with it:

1. My roof rack bars, and I'm sure other as well, we're not completely level. My front bar was about a quarter inch to low due to the curvature of my SnugTop shell roof, so I made some acrylic spacers to put between the tracks of the RTT and Yakima bars, I built them like this so there was no way they could slip off.

2. The floor of the tent is softer than you would think. I was moving around on my hands and knees without the mattress in for a couple minutes before I realized I was putting lots of indentations all over the floor, some about an eighth of an inch deep. Probably just cosmetic I hope, but still frustrating, so if working in the tent, distribute your weight with the mattress or a piece of plywood/rubber mat if the mattress is out.

3. The tent came full of aluminum shavings from the manufacturing process, I filled up about 2-3 shot glasses worth of shavings over the course of opening and closing the tent around 5 times. A little frustrating that CVT doesn't vacuum this out well enough and ream and vacuum the through holes on the floor that most of the shavings seem to come from, I wouldn't want to have that stuff hung up in the mattress or rubbing and putting small slices all over the canvas where it meets the floor.

4. The black cover gets HOT!!! This is not a design flaw or something that can be avoided, I know this, but CVT does offer Grey and Tan PVC covers, which if I had the choice I definitely would have picked instead of the default black with no choice for another color. CVT should ask their customers which color PVC color they prefer if ordering direct from them, like I did. I didn't know they had other color PVC covers until after my tent arrived and I saw some different colors on their Instragram.

5. I am going to file down the sharp edges of the bottom of the ladder, they are already starting to put some wear on the inside of the PVC cover. CVT did reinforce this exact area though with an extra layer of PVC, so kudos to that design feature.

6. Their anti-condensation mats were on back order when I got my tent, but they seem like a must have after my first night in the tent. My first night out was in SoCal, cool to cold temps and super damp on the beach, with little to no wind, and there was a lot of moisture under the mattress in the morning when stowing it. Granted those are challenging conditions for any tent when it comes to condensation build up. I am looking into a rechargeable, small fan to hang inside to combat all the condensation build up my wife and I had.

7. Staking or weighting the corners of the annex is a must if any wind is present. We had a small breeze throughout the night, and without the edges staked the annex bottom was slowly but loudly dragging all over the place, waking us up and driving me crazy.

8. The mattress was surprisingly comfortable for its thickness, no complaints there.

Really helpful info and nice setup. Also have a DCLB and ordering a Ranier. Would have looked at snug top but they have no dealers out here. Think I am going with an ARE X series.
