    yea it will be fine for what I need since I'm not going to be running a 7th injector, NOS or any of the other crazy shit the XRU guys do. A nice reliable 350 would be perfect and It should get me there

    X-1 is "better" because it is end user tunable. IMO. Which makes modifying the tune, a quicker endeavor.

    Exactly my thought, we've been throwing water/meth kits on all our boosted tundra builds lately too so the ability to tune after the fact turned into a huge bonus. Initially I was a little disappointed in not having the Ucon

    Any one have any luck with a 2.7 pulley and a fuel pump upgrade with the TRD flash.
    Right now with all the other mods I'm still seeing 10.1-10.3afr

    Maybe Just a little more.
    My goal with the truck was 13s
    So far my best pass has been a 14.47@94mph.
    So with thinking the 2.7 pulley and IPT valve body. That should put me well into the 13s
    Maybe just the valve body will do it?

    Between work and ski season don't have much down time.

    The 2.85 pulley makes a big difference. Just wakes up the SC. It's how it should have come.

    I am for sure going to do the valve body soon. The 2/3 shift at full throttle are so slow and delayed I know I'm losing a good chuck of time right there.

    The 2.7 pulley was just a idea as I'm still super rich.

    scary, I know. I'm pretty happy with my setup, obviously I want more, but I'm ok now. Switching up to 34s killed alot of my power, can't wait to get some 4.56 gears in there to get my powah back!

    Get it. No joke. If you like the SC when you put it on at first, you'll love it even more with the 2.85. Its probably one of the cheapest HP adders around for Hp/$$ gain.

    Uhm. That's a highly debated question. I think for the most part no, but its a cheap insurance. I've noticed some power cut outs under really really heavy loads before that I'm pretty sure are fuel pump reaching max output. I've been super lazy about installing mine sitting on the shelf. If you had a full exhaust system and intake and the pulley, then yeah, would probably be a good idea.

    I like the S/C so far but I've been less than impressed, but I come from owning performance cars running a lot more boost. My truck is armored up with heavy ass 33's. It does good for what it is but I could use a little bit more oomph.

    Ok careful there or you'll fall in with RL. What some people cant seem to understand is, ITS A TRUCK. It's never gonna be as fast as performance cars, especially with the TRD SC, which was designed for reliability and not to blow your engine up. I mean, if you want crazy power, you'd have a URD SC and figure out how to make UCON work, and then you could have like 400+ HP and go fast. with street tires. and an Xrunner. I mean, above all, regearing will get us all back power with oversized tires, the SC can only do so much.

    I mean, I'm probably around 7k in performance mods, just to get maybe another 100 HP to the wheels right now. (Once headers are installed :D). Whenever UCON finally releases I'll grab a 7th injector and Water/meth and the 2.7 pulley and hoping for 350hp to the wheels or so. With a regear I bet that will be super fun. and LT :D. and then I'll be done. Until I blow the engine up and convince the wife I need an LS

    Exactly. The TRD S/C was designed for a little more speed and, for some people more importantly, a little more torque down low to help it out around town or in the woods. The TRD S/C does not make a Tacoma an instant race truck. Think about it. A 2nd gen Tacoma weighs about 400 lbs less than an F150. The F150 has almost 400 HP and 400 ftlbs of torque in the Ecoboost configurations stock and it doesn't qualify as a race truck. That engine makes all it's power down low too just like our TRD S/C. Why would 300 HP and 325 ftlbs of torque make a truck that's fairly close in weight insanely fast?

    Haha, yeah... I'm not looking for anything crazy. If I wanted a "fast" vehicle I wouldn't be driving an armored 4x4 on E rated 33's. :D I just want this baby to be able to get out of her own way and to have a bit more balls for messing around off road. I'm not gonna be running it at the track or racing around. I had a '00 Ford F-150 Lightning, then and '04 WRX STI with 367whp/374wtq, then an '03 Mustang Cobra with 491/517. I just missed the boost. Lol

    It'll never be a V8 halfton for power. You can get close with lots of mods, but you will fall short of what you could do powerwise with most of the modern trucks that you might see driving around. Not that there is anything wrong with that. The Tacoma can do things offroad that full size trucks can't even touch.

    Yeah, I'm thinking intake and pulley only. It is a definite improvement over stock and in my opinion this is the way these trucks should have come from the factory. I love my Taco and the supercharger made me love it more.
