Use the standard flat "top plate spacer" that fits under the top hat.....7" diameter, 5" center hole, 3 bolt holes that match up with the studs on top of the strut....works with ANY shock....available at ANY vendor. made in 1/4" and 1/2" thickness.

    Good evening all:

The 1/4" top plate spacer is used on Bilstein 5100's to help correct the drivers side lean and the OME trim packer is used on OME struts to help correct the driver side lean. The 1/4" top plate spacer could be used on both if need be but the OME trim packer can only be used on the OME struts.

So I asked this question on the bilstein lift website. And the answer got me spooked.

On a stock 05-15 double cab 4x4 the OME 884X coils will provide approx. 2" of lift so you will be a little bit higher then you sit right now but not an 1".

So what do you recommend to level the truck? Thanks.

Get the 884s and a 2" AAL. What's with all this nonsense about a "level" truck? You want some rake otherwise when you load anything heavy in the bed you'll end up with an ass dragger.

These are pickup trucks, not Corvettes. :notsure:

I Personally like the way it looks leveled, and no rake. I do haul shit but nothing heavy enough to get the bro lean going. The 2 inch AAL, would that be in addition to the 4 leafs I have now? Or would it replace them?

It's all good and to each their own.

The AAL is added to your leaf spring, hence the Add-A-Leaf. They give you lift and a bit more hauling capacity. If you want level then go 884s and a 1" block instead.

    Seems you were confused.

Or I missed your pics of the OME trim packer being installed on your 5100s that you planned to post after debating me for too long.

As I said and has been repeated, OME trim packer requires OME shocks. 5100s need a top hat spacer. Like I said..

Some people will use just the OME 884X coils on their own to get a near level stance. I would recommend measuring your current rake to see how high you need to go in the front in order to get as close to level as possible.

I'm currently level right now with the bilstein 5100's in front set at 1.75 and the stock 4 leaf pack in the back

    Just get 884s..

There is no "you get exactly this outcome" when it comes to suspension.

    Place the order already! :D

Life is so much better with coils.

It is always hard to say for sure how much lift you will gain with any one component because so many variables come into play. With that being said the OME 884X coils will provide approx. 2" of lift on your dbcb 4x4 with the Bilsteins at the zero setting. The Eibach 112-620's will provide approx. 1.6" of lift so you could go either route. The 884's have a 590 spring rate and the Eibachs have a 620lbs spring rate.

So, I'm probably better off with the Eibachs in my case. I'd rather a little bit of rake with the 1.6 lift than to be nose high at 2.0 with the 884's. Higher spring rate means stiffer ride correct?

Did you ever end up swapping back to your original wheel and tire setup? Seems like that would be an easy thing to do before jumping the gun and spending a couple bucks on the suspension... It would suck to buy the suspension and get no better of a ride...

    Buddy.

All lift heights are approximate. The 1.6 Eibach may be less, may be 1.6, or might be more. Same with the 884. The difference is ride quality. Eibach will be stiffer riding. OME will be softer.

You're trying to get an exact number of what to expect and you won't get it from any product or any vendor. There are only approximations.

Every truck is different and will get different results, even if they have the same parts.

I haven't had any time to switch out the tires unfortunately and I'm actually trying to sell them. Im going to get new coils, and if it doesn't give me a better ride, then im just going to have to suck it up
