Never did a in line converter before, I'm used to using rca cables from the head unit to the amp but the factory h.u. doesn't have rca jacks. Anyone else have subs, amp with the factory h.u.?

It's actually quite easy, all you have to do is get the converter that wire tapes into the correct wires then has a spot for rca cables to plug into

I've got pretty much the same set up as you do. Can you run another amp from that one? You aren't going to be happy with the mids and highs with just subs. If you haven't picked a spot for your remote this is where I put mine. The door still closesimage.jpg

Alpine makes a amp that will fit behind the head unit for your door speakers 45w to each speaker it's like 150$ while your in there doing wiring I highly suggest you do it, I'm doing that and getting new door speakers

That's where I was thinking about putting the control. I plan on eventually running amps and changing out the door speakers. I haven't looked into what size they are or anything. I'm sticking with the factory h.u. for now but I'm not spending $300+ on a crossover thing to plug into the h.u..

I just daisy chained another amp off my sub amp for the door speakers. Still running stock h.u. and pretty pleased with it.
