When i did the bushing my issue was with the oil seal and i didnt seat the new one correctly, sure it was the CV on yours?

 

I should have said the seal is leaking and my axle threads are fubard*

The hardest part is pulling the axle, but i got it out pretty easy with proper placement of a pry bar.

 

First time i did mine, the axle was a bit of a pain took a good pry bar and a 3 pound hammer cut down. but the seal was so seized on it broke my seal puller and ended up cutting and ripping it out with vise grips

 

The seal is a pain to get out without a real puller, ha.

The prybar is pretty easy now, think i got it figured out for the sweet spot to pry it out and put it back in.

New axle and new seal are in. Truck got washed. So now a waiting game to see if its sealed correctly this time. I believe it is but i only drove for ten minutes or so and there was no fluid leaking. Good sign at least.

 

Mine leaked too. I put the new one in too far... Had to get a second one and seat it at the right depth to get the leak solved. Hope you did yours right

The metal that thing is made of is shit. Mine broke... It's harbor freight haha

 

Im hoping so. I used a 2inch pvc coupler to hit it back in. I dont want to redo it.

Oh harbor freight tools don't break...you're making that shit up

 

Just tap it in about 1/8". Then use the cv axle itself to push it all the way in gently.

I pushed it in to match. Pretty sure if it isnt leaking now it shouldnt.

Well 4 i guess. At least measured hub to fender compared from front to back. The front is around 25 and the rear is 29. Im just going to leave it. gonna aim the headlights up some more now to adjust for it. Alignment is next week.

I dont think im going to go pelfrey. Really think im making my own. Cost efficient and i know what i want which is going to be different.

I wouldnt mind tint on the front, but its not a big deal to me.

 

From that angle, DCs look weird without matching side window tint IMO.
