I tried this earlier for the first time and felt no vibration. The assumption would be to rule out the engine but revving thw engine in park doesn't provide the same buzzing exhaust tone we've all been experiencing. Any thoughts?

My thoughts are in my truck it's the exhaust. The fix could be a modified exhaust.

My thought was that if it made the vibration someone could get under the truck while it's being revved and feel around for the vibe.

That could be done on a lift.

What about buying a half a page ad in the Torrance California newspaper the US headquarters for Toyota we would not be posting anything that was not true just for people to be on the lookout for this vibration that is normal and characteristic we could even get a lawyer involved. All of pitch in to put the ad in the paper...I don't know maybe nobody reads the newspapers anymore...

Might be the exhaust but swapping may not do anything, I read thro this unrelated GM truck thread (http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/157796-vibration-in-floorboard-not-speedtire-related/) with a very similar RPM dependent vibration buzz, one member clamped wieghts onto the exhuast and said the vibration was 90% gone, some embers with the buzz even had the same symptoms with extremities going numb on long trips. They even got the same BS "it's characteristic of the vehicle" from the dealerships.

I think this is a great idea. However, I would do full page in either the LA or NY times. Once the rest of the media picks up on it it will go viral. How about a go-fund me page - everyone throws in 10 bucks. We probably need 50k

Some time ago I mentioned someone should try clamping some small heavy mass to different parts of their exhaust with a couple of hose clamps. Seems like no one has done this.

As I recall the fix for the 4Runner vibe was a counterweight. I can do this with the weights as a test. Rather this than $800 test that may or may not work.

I heard recently that the frame recall was the result of a class action suit by a group of Taco owners. I thought TMC did this out of the kindness in error.

A friend of mine is attempting the lemon law on his 2016 Honda Civic. It is a CVT transmission that while in cruise control seems to cause the vehicle to feel like it's rocking backwards and forwards and it is very annoying. He and others are getting the Run around from Honda. I'll post when he finds out.
On our subject the Class Acton sounds better than trying individually maybe.

Sounds like a safety hazard. Which state is this? On the subject of Lemons - if Toyota cannot fix this problem--it most certainly is a safety issue. My legs and hands are numb after each of my 100 mile commutes. In this state [MA] it is triple damages.

Ohio. I'll have him send me the link to the Lawyer/firm he is using. He has suggested several times that I get this started he said it takes a couple of months for the process. The company does not charge unless they get it done...

With respect to the exhaust weights and manifold being the possible culprits, I'm willing to try also. However, I was experimenting tonight and noticed if I put this in S Mode/1, this vibration disappears on acceleration in 1st only in all RPM ranges. Gone. Kick it up to 2 and it's back. Does the exhaust kick off at different levels depending on the gear? I didn't think it would.

The key here is safety: You can drive my truck to the grocery store safely. However, take a trip over 50 miles and you are going to have numbness in your extremities. I hope this does not lead to any fatalities due to numbness. Sadly, this will be like the sticky gas pedal case all over. I hope I am not the first case!

I just bought a 2016 Limited yesterday and mine does the SAME THING! About every 2 or 3 seconds you feel a buzz or very slight vibration in the steering wheel. I notice it most between 45-60mph with the engine in 6th gear and running lower RPMs. So glad to hear I'm not the only one. NOW, what to do about it?? Guess I will start with my local dealer and see where it leads.... Kinda frustrated as this truck doesn't yet have 200 miles on it!!!

I've had my TRD OR about a week now. Silky smooth on the highway up to 80 or all rpm's above 1800. But while slowing down and with the speed around 18-25 and 1000RPM I get a mild buzz in the steering wheel. Not nearly as bad as my '13 15-25 MPH driveline vibe. No worried about it yet, but I will take it in and show them during my first scheduled maintenance.

He said no...as a matter of fact, he was totally unaware that the Denver Engineering Team was even at his dealership. The dealership sold him a '16 Sport and he said his is as smooth as glass and, to this point, he hadn't heard of the issue until I asked him about it. I asked him to check into it; however, not sure that he really will.... It is a very large dealership with several Master Mechanics on staff; however, it is obvious that they don't have any or much communication amongst themselves at all as the Denver Team was also inspecting another safety issue on another vehicle that day, too.

Also, interesting point to note: I told him I was disappointed that, at least in the Limited, there was no power seat. He said his had one, 'standard' (built 11/15). I went out and looked at the truck and it was, apparently, highly modded at the dealer before sale, with multiple after-market add ons, including a false set of 'TRD 4x4 Sport Off-Road Pro' decals.

That was actually noted in an earlier post; and, at least for me and others who replied, it is not there unless in gear....
