Just gonna throw this out there but there are a lot of sick after market bumps for the 1st gen.

Which sliders are you going with?

I know. I keep finding ways to cut back on what I want to do to my Taco. Add up all the $$ you want to spend in mods if you want a shock

i had thought about an allpro bumper....but i think im gonna stay stock, and a brushguard will serve its purpose pretty well i think. as for sliders.......i'll probably get the bolt on type, maybe demello if they bolt on....maybe allpro and then i'll tack weld them to the frame.....then they will be good and supported.

and definitely....if you want a shock.....add up all the mods you want!! holy shit man!!!:D

Go with Demello if you can afford it. Their sliders are SWEET. Especially the Rock Crushers, god I want those!

Any news on your truck? I know its kind early but I'm excited for you man.

havent heard from the salesman today, but he said it would be likely monday or tuesday......so im still anxious to hear from him. he did say he thought the truck had around 90k on it.....not too bad for a tacoma. i was hoping for a little less.....but if its in awesome shape and all.......may go for it.....if not......ima tell them to keep on searching for one.

um its prob gonna be hard to find one thats not sr5 as it was a trim line that was very popular i think

a true trd will have a rr diff lock button to the left of the steering column on the dash along with progressive front coils

oh and they also had a trd trim line as well that color matched bumpers/flares

same as any other ole 4x4...you just wont have the benefit of equal power to both rear wheels at the same time...even if one has no traction or one is bogged down

The TRD's are common. They were and still are quite popular. Shouldn't be too hard to find one.

WHatsup Will:) I dont know about the 4x4 but my truck is 2x4, TRD, and Limited and I have the rear diff lock. I think it falls under the TRD thing. I wonder if the 4x4 TRD's have it too-giving you the choice of locking out the rear yourself or having it lock out under 4x4 mode?

i discovered this during my epic 6 month search for my truck
