Well...... It's always hard to make a post like this not knowing what to expect. It's been a pleasure to be a part of this forum for the past 9+ years that I've been here, and I Thank You all for that!! I don't plan on leaving permanently. I will check back from time to time ...I have to keep myself in tune with what's going on in the Tacoma community. I've spent months researching my options in buying a new truck.... The fact that Toyota didn't offer a lot of options (that I was more than willing to pay for) was a huge let down. So, my husband and I opted for a 2016 GMC Canyon SLT. It's a really sweet truck!!
I know, I know...... It has a lot of *living up* to do in terms of reliability & resale.
But sometimes you gotta take a chance. I consider this a 'vacation' from Toyota to see the world outside of the box. I won't get into the details about why or how or what. I'm not hear to stir any pots or try to convince anyone which is better. Honestly - I don't care. This was for me..... and I hope it can keep me happy like the Tacoma did for 9 years.
I'll let the photos do the talking if anyone is interested in looking.
Like I said...you guys/ gals have been great even for non-tacoma related issues. I'll be poking in from time to time and hope everyone is happy in all their daily travels and your Tacomas keep you happy!!

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I hope you like it. A black full size reg cab parked next to me the other day and I must say it was a good looking SOB and made me think of looking into one in the 2wd variety. Good luck with it J!

That'll be a pretty plush ride compared to a tacoma. I love the comfort of a full-size truck. bah - nvm. was thinking of the sierra.

    good luck with it. enjoy.

@Janster please, for the love of god don't be a stranger! You've been here with us from the beginning and have one of the most level heads on the forum! Like you, I've changed vehicles (several times over) and am still here!

Congrats on the new ride and look forward to seeing you stick around and be part of the TW family!

The Canyons are a mid sized truck. The Sierra's are the full sized models. I will say...the new canyons and colorados are much larger than the previous models. they look like little full sized trucks lol

Good Luck with your new ride! Sat in a few of these at the International auto show last month, They're very nice, especially with them offering a diesel option in a mid sized truck!

    Thanks Everyone!!

You guys/gals have always been great!! I'll always be a Toyota fan and I'm sure I'll be back in one someday. I'll be poking around. :)

It's exciting to have new wheels and spend even more money on mods - nothing drastic, the usual boring grocery getter mods :)

It's funny....but both my husband and I have ventured into brands that we've never owned before. I'm praying it doesn't bite us both in the ass down the road. We were given a pretty good offer on an extended warranty - haven't pulled the trigger on that yet - we want to nitpick through the details this weekend. It's not a GMC warranty but an aftermarket (which kinda worries me). But...we'll see.

    Don't be a stranger.
Post up a thread of the new rig (that will keep you here) and how it is going.
I'd be interested to hear you reactions through the course of time.
