Could someone with a revolver measure how much remaining bed rail is exposed? I would really like to have something like the bakflip cs but there doesn't appear to be annoying available so I'm doing some research to see if it's possible to make something. Thanks

What exactly do you mean by how much rail is exposed?

since the bed rail slopes in, it runs from ~2.75" at the cab to ~1.5" at the tailgate - not a lot to work with.

Too cold here, as well. I have acquired some JB Weld black gasket sealant and will attempt to use this to seal the edges with it. Of note, we did have a few fairly warm days into the 50s, and with the truck int he sun, the actual cover flaps have sealed much better against the rails. I checked this morning after driving through a heavy rain. However, the water is still seeping in through the small flaps where the rails meet the edge of the bed. I think this owes to the repeating up-down pattern of the tacoma bed sides rather than being truly flat. It is here that I will attempt to seal.

On another note, I purchased a ROK BLOK seal for the tailgate with accompanying side seals, so that should take care of the tailgate water.

I am seriously considering buying the Revolver X2 so have been reading up on reviews here and noticed that some of you had serious leaking issues. Now that you've had some time to try to fix them, was it worth the time and effort? Was it simple or time consuming to fix? And would you buy this cover again? I really like the roll up instead of the trifold, but am concerned about the possible leaking issues.

The cover does not leak. The bed does and the only way to fix that is by seal g it with silicone of some kind.

Also no cove is water proof. You will alway have some leaking from cover seals and it's not that bad.

I have both a 5 foot bed and 6 with the revolver on it. I'm over all happy with the cover and how easy it went on and is to use.

This corner at the front of the bed is the issue for me as far as water getting in, and I am still trying to figure out how to seal that. The other BAK cover shown in this thread it has the side rubber seal go all the way up to match the front rubber seal, eliminating this small corner gap. not sure why they didn't do the same on the revolver.

That's not were it leakes. That's sealed on the inside. It leaks where the bed side meets the front.

I stuffed the corners by the cab with foam that the Revolver came packed. No more leaking from that area, even after a heavy rain storm that flooded the streets in just 1 hour. There is a small leaking from the side rails about 1/4 way up from the tailgate. I'm looking for a way to seal the sides and I should then be waterproof =)

Just installed my Bakflip VP. Easy enough install, looks awesome. I wanted the x2 but last minute got worried from all the reviews, VP is cheaper, and the top looks like the x2 when closed. Don't know if it keeps water out yet.
